Commentary: What's right with America? Plenty

Ok, he makes some good points in here, but my favorite, absolutely has to be this line right here:

What's right with America? We love our country. World Values Survey found that 77 percent of Americans are very proud of their nationality. That puts us in a first place tie with the Irish. Australia was next and no one else was really even close.

If Americans were to lead the pack in this category, but be tied with one other nation, would it, without a doubt, be any other nation BUT Ireland?!??!!

How many liberals do you guys think... who frequent CNN have turned into Glenn Beck fans? Surely some, right? For all the whooping and hollering many made for CNN signing a *gasp* conservative talk show host, he does seem to have some great articles, IMO and from just a few shows of his I caught, he does make a lot of sense and is entertaining about it. Cool dude.

I like how he calls all politicians to task when they're in the fault. Check out this one as he slams some pretty big name Dems and Repubs on the "energy crisis." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWZ_4EXeyaA&NR=1

Sorry for the hijack, LC.

And based on many details of modern cyber culture, global mass media, the entertainment industry, and immigration patterns: LOTS of non-Americans love America too.

This article was a refreshing change from the generics I've been reading lately, thanks for sharing this with me LC. I particularly enjoyed reading this snippet:

How about the way we treat the less fortunate? With no help from our government, Americans gave a record $306 billion to charities last year alone. We give twice as much as the next closest country and, relative to the size of our economies, we give 1,000 percent more than the French.

Speaking of the French, I read an article a few days ago that said they are now the most hated tourists in the world! We actually aren't even in the top 3 anymore!!
