How many of you are sick of games being responsible for petty crimes of people who have no values? How can a game lead people to kill? People like hillary clinton and lawyer joe lieberman think if they strike up controversy on games then they will be popular. I wonder if they ever thought of how many people play games.Seems to me they will be less popular. Tell me what you think and about which game in the spotlight.

PS2: 2k7 baseball

Anyone else play 2k7 baseball from 2ksports for the ps2? It's giving me a headache with the pitching and fielding a bit and was wondering if anyone has any tips or just discussion on the game.

It's okay as a game, but not as good as MVP 2005 from EA Sports. The fielding is dicey at best, since you can't set it for automatic (so I'm lazy :P) and it's more reactive than anything I've ever played in sports.

Elder Scrolls Four: Oblivion

Has anyone played this or any of the elder scrolls games? I have it for my 360 and it looks amazing. The only real downside is that it's not online, which for me isn't that big of deal but for some WoW junkies I guess it could matter. I've had about 30 hours of gameplay so far and I haven't touched the main quest. If you like RPG's I would most definitely recommend it.

Star Wars Battlefront 2

I have played my fair share of halo and halo 2 since their releases, and I have just recently Purchased Star Wars Battlefront 2, and i have been amazed at the really good replay value it has (in my opinion of course).

Pros

Halo 2
-More Weapons
-More Gametypes
-A pretty good story mode, despite the cliffhanger endings

SWBF 2
-More Types of units
-Snipers not as overpowerful
-more maps, and space battles too (although it can get pretty monotonous in space)
-Hero Characters

Cons

Halo 2

-if one player is 1337 compared to the others, team play is not as fun, nor is other modes of play depending on the variants
-small amounts of units in the "battlefield"
-rocket launcher too powerful in its ablility to destroy vehicles in one shot

SWBF2

-despite the large # of troops in combat, Friendly AI is incredibly uninteligent (Ex. Throwing grenades near teammates, or just standing in your crosshairs and getting killed)
-Princess Leia=Crappy hero!! (just kidding thats not really much of a con)
-really only a limited amount of weapons, and only one type of grenade
-no special content unlocked upon successful completion of the game

In my opinion, SWBF2 takes the cake, but a lot of it is due to me being very partial to Star Wars.

Anyone played this? Well, if you have, you will know exactly what I'm talking about. If not, well...I'm playing my PGA season and I'm on the Dream 18 Spring Shootout. The problem is, I designed my Dream 18 so ridiculously hard that I can't break 60. I've shot low 50's on every other course, but my Dream 18 is that bad. Anyway, I'm tied for the lead after three rounds, and I played the fourth today. I quit without saving because I was so disgusted at the end. Tiger and Vijay both came from 3 shots back and shot 59 on Sunday to beat me by one stroke. Nobody shoots 59 on this course, EVER. It's that bad.Anyway, just wanted to vent.

X-Box: Ninja Gaiden

I just aquired this title, and all I can say is WOW! Smooth... Doesn't seem to load from the disk once the gameplay begins. I have noticed no slow downs as of yet with an hour of play in. (a six or so hour power session is coming over the weekend!) Controls are intuitive, easy to learn. Camera controls are useful, and work! (I have had several titles that I hate for this reason only.) I had some trouble with the first "boss" but figured out how to fight, and moving on... Only problem I have seen is the limited save game in preprogrammed areas that you have to return to, or find the next one. In this respect I really like what Return to Wolfenstein did with save anywhere / anytime...

Founder and chairman Bill Gates has expressed interest in buying game giant Nintendo should the company put itself on the market, reports German magazine Wirtschafts Woche. "If Hiroshi Yamauchi calls, he will be directly transferred to me," the magazine quotes Gates as saying at an unspecified analyst conference. Yamauchi is the former president of Nintendo and still owns a stake in the company. The magazine goes on to paraphrase Gates as saying he would immediately make an offer if Nintendo shows a readiness to sell itself. It's a juicy headline – and I have no doubt that it's true. Given the opportunity, Microsoft would not just jump at the chance to own the company that created Mario, Zelda and Donkey Kong, it would leap, frothing at the mouth and sinking its teeth into anything that got in its way. You'd see Gates and Chief Xbox officer Robbie Bach doing a dance that would put CEO Steve Balmer's infamous "dance monkey boy" boogie to shame. Here's the thing, though. Nintendo's not real interested in selling itself. "It would be a great investment," said Perrin Kaplan, vice president of marketing and corporate affairs for Nintendo. Ok well im sure most of us have heard about 1 or both of these if not from E3 coverage you found out from somewhere else. So i wanna know which of the 2 you back and think will do better or just comments you got on them.Info on the handheldDS2 Screens...1 touch screen, 1 normal screenControls: D-pad, 4 buttons in the same shape as the D-pad, 2 shoulder buttonsUses cartrages X10 the size of GBA cartrages(i think i read that), comes with a microphone and wifi.PSP1 Screen...slightly larger and better resoultion then a single of the DS screensControls: D-bad and buttons basicly like the PS2, 1 shoulder button on each shoulder, 1 analoge nub. If you Like Anime and RPGs, this is your game! Its only for the GCN but its a wonderful RPG that puts all others to shame. It takes place in a world with magic an the comon RPG elements and the stroy is all that original (but what is these days...) There was a great war between the good people and the evil. and when the war ended, the Goddess accended to theheavens warning the angles that if she should fall asleep, the world will end. every so often, there is a chosen that must journy up a tower that goes to the heavens and wake the goddess. a small town. you play as lloyd, childhood friend of the chosen. i'm only about 5 hours into the game that says it gives 80 hours so i don't know much. but the best part is the combat. unlike most other RPGs, the comabt is real time. you just control one charater and can set stratgies for the other charater. i've set up my party so i'm on the front lines. The Stratagy for each person goes into 3 catigories: where to attack from, who to attack, how freely they can use special attackes, But it gets better! you can have 4 people playing during the combat to fill all roles or everyone can be front line attackers (once you get everyone in your party possible). combat is fast an fun, stimple controls alowing for quick combos between normal and special attacks. the look is Anime based with expression you see in anime. and yes, its rated teen for a few cureses but thats what anime is like. Although not all the cutsences have speech, its forgivable. the save system makes you go back to the last save is a pain but avoidable if you save before tough fights. Go out and get it if RPGs are your thing.

The new Nintendo console is coming out shortly. Code named Nintendo DS and Nintendo Nitro, it will be a portable machine, GameBoy esq. Though Nintendo denies it is the next generation to the GameBoy Advance SP. It will include 2 seperate screens running on two seperate CPU's. Little else is known about the system, but Nintendo had dumped billions of dollars into the design of this machine, and are quoted as saying, "it will revolutionize the gameing world."The actual design and specs will officailly be unvieled at this years E3 in May.

i can't believe there isn't something about here yet. omg this game kicks butt. its out for all systems each with their own special charaters only their system has and also its in arcades. but aynways its a fun game for multiplayer because button mashing can work unless you know how to play the game. it is a fighter, but the best fighter out. if you have a console, get this game, NOW!

Who else here has played Time Splitters 2? In my opinion it is one of the best game out there. The best version is on GameCube, do to 4 player compatibility. I would deffinitally recommend this game to all. Its like Goldeneye for N64, but 100x better (if that is at all possible). Time Splitters 2 is my second favorite game of all time, next of course to Civ3. Anyway, if you own a GameCube get it, its awesome.

This board has been looking a little dry, so I'm here to try to make the masses read this board again. So, here it goes:New games coming to the Gameboy Advance and Nintendo GameCube. Mario and Luigi (GBA)- The first game to star both brothers and not just Mario, after all these long years. Bowser seems to be lending a claw once again... if any of you have played Super Mario RPG you know what I'm talking about.Mario and Donkey Kong (???)- I don't have much details on this game, but it sounds like it will be kinda like Mario and Luigi. Perhaps.Mario 128 (GCN)- Again, few details, but from the rumors and screenshots when it was used as a demo to show-off the GameCube, it's just like it's name says, and has something to do with 128 Marios on the screen at once. I also do beleive that each of the Marios have different things (tanooki, caped, fire, you get the idea).Mario Party 5 (GCN)- Yes, another Mario Party game. Probably like all the others, not really much to say.Mario Kart Double Dash!! (GCN)- Oh boy, another Mario Kart game! Unlike the other versions, you get to pick two characters and the kart they use. You can swap the characters in the middle of the race. That is essential when you need to use character specific items. ALso, when you have no weapons, the person in back can attack another kart with their bare hands. What use doing that will have, I don't know, but it will most likely come in handy.Mario Golf: Advance Tour (GBA)- To compliment Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour for the GameCube, they will allow linking features between the two games. Like before, you can import a character you made on the Gameboy version and onto the consel version and work on that character there.Mario Tennis (GCN)- Not many details, but rumor has it that they are making another Mario Tennis game.Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Brothers 3 (GBA)- Credited as the most popular platformer on the NES, THis fine gem of a game returns with new features. One of the biggest things will be compatability with the E-Reader. The E-Reader and cards will add a whole new depth to the game with cool extras like the cape from Super Mario World. Many of the features in game have been upgraded. One that really caught my attention is little intros in each castle showing the Koopa Kid stealing the wand and turning the king into an animal. And keeping true to the rest of the SMA games, little voices have been added, and some levels may have been changed.Super Mario RPG (GBA or GCN)- Rumor says it both ways. Now I'm not sure why they would release a remake on the GameCube, but having it released on the Gameboy seems to be a more popular idea.Ok, I think I have put all that I know about upcoming Mario games for the GameCube and Gambeboy Advance, sorry for have few details, but I can only put what I know. And besides, this area is pretty much dead.... :rolleyes:

Had Diablo 2 on computer ... Currently only play Civ3 ... my Xbox is a great paperweight, does anyone know if there will be a Diablo 3 (or something quite like it) coming out anytime (preferrably on Xbox as I feel guilty for how little i play it!)... i had a good time playing Diablo 2, and wish that Xbox would get off their asses and make a serious rpg, or adventure game like it(not 1st person shooter ... man am I sick of those!)

Well if you are (and i doubt there are) Harvest Moon: A WOnderful Life is coming out for the GCN and Harvest Moon: Friends of Menerial Town is coming out for the GBA, its the same story from basicly all of the games, you inheriet a farm in a weird new place and u need to raise crops and animals to get it going agen....in A wonderful life, natsume (the compant that makes it) takes a weird step, adding over 40 new charecters......what are ya gonna do with all those ppl to meet and greet?? 40.....thats a lot.....well anywayz, the graphics are kool real time kind. you might see some similarities between the past harvest moon games except one huge difference........the main charecter doesnt wear a hat.....the biggest difference between of of the harvest moon games, the main charecter wears a hat of sum sort....o well....just reporting my news

I BEAT WIND WAKER LIKE AT 11:30 LAST NIGHT!! i was like so into it i forgot the time and i just played.....DUDE THE ENDING IS THE GREATEST IVE EVER SEEN!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D now i;m started the second quest......its the same thing with a little differnce....o whatever......I BEAT THE GAME!!!!!!!!! O YEA!!!!!! i completed it in under 20 hours.....XD lol :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
