They are a motley bunch. They dont sit around in circles, they dont belong to clubs, non of that nonsense. They just are. They live their lives, do what they do, & what they do effects us all.

Yeah. They were Persians living mostly in America and Europe. They didn't out and out ban me, they just restricted my activity from the "politics and current events" forum. I could still post things in the "sports", "literature" and other forums. I pestered the mods about it for a while but no one ever responded to my pm's or email messages. Clearly, I was not wanted there! Anyways, they were free persians, but there was a fair amount of those who had utter disgust for the IRI (Islamic Republic of Iran), but there were also some on there who seemed to be supporters.

Actually, speaking of PR, the whole reason I sought out such a forum had nothing to do with the forum specifically, but I had just seen the movie Transformers at the time, last summer/fall, and noticed a couple instances in that movie of what I thought to be subtle anti-Iranian propaganda. For example, one of the military-brass dudes referred to what we in USA commonly know as the "Persian Gulf" as the "Arabian Gulf". Maybe I am ignorant about this subject but didn't we engage in the Persian Gulf Wars. Who outside of the Arabian Peninsula refers to it as the Arabian Gulf????? :w00t: Anyways, it was very subtle, but I just was curious if anyone out there in the Internet picked up on it (simple Google Searches). And surely, the folks at that particular Persian forum did. Whether it was really propaganda or not, your guess is as good as mine, but it sure caught my attention! :)

The modern mass media saturated world is an ironic place. The airwaves are saturated with volleys of "news," but in fact most of this is barely scratching the surface of the ice berg, if it is even in the correct ice field at all. I tend to think the actual events happening 'behind closed doors' which are privy to the 'powers that be' are so insanely unlike what we think is happening that it is pretty difficult to guess what will happen from our vantage point. Not always, but often.

Since we are so totally in the dark about what is actually happening in the world, I'm hesitant to say, but I'd lean toward "Yes" Iran will receive a care package consisting of several thousand pounds of bunker-busting explosives in the very near future.

It seems to me that the Western media and their Emperial Handlers are trickling out the suitable queue of pre-pre-emptive strike PR-campaign buildup to get the peeps sufficiently confused and accepting that they can do it without getting too many panties in a wad.

Course there will be wadded panties, but the some people go through life with their [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLgmisFOcYM]panties pulled over their heads[/url].

It is a bit of a wierd way to put it with that headline. I think that's a press "recap" of what the article is about, not an actual statement made by the "U.S."

Yeah, CNN has coverage of it too.

I know this isn't the first time I've seen such evidince of photoshoppery coming from the IRI. But I recall, it wasn't here at 1bc. It was on a Persian forum I used to participate in last fall. They banned me when they realised I was not Persian and was railing against the Ayatollahs, saying things like Azad Iran! Azad Iran!!! (Free Iran! Free Iran!) :w00t:

Apparently there is confirmation from the U.S. government that missiles were fired, it's just that they all didn't fire as planned so they photoshopped an extra one going off. 3 of the 4 were successful. It would be kinda lame to put out an image where one misfired so they doctored the image.

Oh my... there aren't even any visible launch pads/vehicles. Who do they think they would fool?

I seriously suspect this to be a news duck. A few years ago, a diplomatic incident was caused when a news source reported that Iran was about to introduce sumptuary laws for Jews. It turned out to be all bogus.

This photo has been circulating the mainstream media since the announcement that Iran fired them. It's funny that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard thought they could get away with this and it's sad that (for a moment) they did.
