It *is* a keeper league, but we can take new people. We'll either give you teams whose coaches didn't sign up again, or you can draft new...just not the ones we pick to keep.

I have a free yahoo league where I was hoping to get enough friends to play to host a league this year. Currently, I have 5 in my league, but thats not enough! Want to join?

Live draft, this Saturday at 10am mountain. If you're not there, it will auto-draft, so pre-rank any player changes you want.

Simply go to baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com and make sure you click on the FREE league, and not the pay league. Join custom league #195489, which is the Vato Loco league. Password is "Vato" with a capital V.

Right now its default scoring and head to head. Changes will need to be voted on by the league.

No civ names, please, as my other friends will think you're on crack. :-P Well, you can if you want, but no one else will have one, hehe.

1FootballCommunity Bowl VI was won by the Greek Fire in a close fought battle of the "who's going to play today" game.
The Greeks became the first team to win the 1FootballCommunity league for a second time, overcoming the league leading Huns in the finals. The Mighty Zulu took third in a very close fought league.
On the last week of the regular season seven of the eight teams were fighting for a playoff spot.

I guess I will take the bull by the horns, and set up the fantasy baseball league (unless someone else wants to)

With that being said, if somebody has some suggestions, put them here ... I will wait to set it up for a week for peoples imput

ie: having holds, how many on the bench, whip, triples or not etc

Will there be one?

Just a suggestion, instead of using the Yahoo! free league, what about using the NFL.com free league? The largest negative compared to Yahoo is that the settings are default (only changes from last year are the roster size and return yardage). The largest plus is live updated scoring is free.

The other question is how the draft going to be done - live, automated, or last years odd system.

Just curious if there has been any debate or determination on what the keeper rules will be in the Civ league. With the season starting and rookies to be added soon, it would help if we all knew what the rules would be so we could plan accordingly.

Alternate Fantasy football

Ok, as suggested by someone, a alternate Fantasy football league, where we draft teams not individual players.My thought is this: first we need to sign up all who wish to participate then I will plug everyone into a random generator for draft pick order. and post the results.Each player must then list his draft pick here,example: first player takes/posts Colts, next player takes posts Pats. etc.Once all the players have two teams they may set their active roster from any player currently on either team.The biggest rub I can see is NO trading within the league and if a player is traded in the NFL, oh well!If anyone wishes to be in a league such as this sign up here. If we get enough players (10 I consider minimum) I will create a league, if not, oh well! ;)Questions/suggestions please if you think you might wish to give it a try.Geeks will play.

Sumerians go 13-2-3 to lead the league after the first week. GF this will be the sticky thread and I will try to keep it updated weekly. Yes, this will be more work for me and very interesting to see whether we can get it to work to everyone's satisfaction.League Number is 6487 (lowest number yet, I think, that we've gotten)Password is dromon in honor of the league champs from last year, the Byzantines.So that's, for cut and paste purposes:6487dromon16 teams, head to head. Same stats that we always have, same number of players from last year (I think...1QB, 3WR, 2RB, 1TE, 1WR/RB, 1K, 1DEF, 6 bench). One minor change from the league last year, passing yards is 40 per point vs. 50. 20 yds per point for receiving and rushing and return yards.Please, please, please, use [b]just[/b] the name from Civ 3...please?
