I know we have some great photographer's on here so lets see some of your best. Please give us some background/description also. I'll start!

This photo was taken in Langtry, Texas. Home of hanging judge, Roy Bean. Anyway, I love windmills and cactus. :D

Float wave

Here in Utah, we have local parades as we approach the 4th of July and the church I go to entered one. The sphere I was under was the wave on the boat. It's made from 2 large blocks of styrofoam. The general design (of the wave) was mine and I did all of the carving though the person with whom I was working on it with definitely had a lot of input. She and I probably did an equal amount of spray painting. From the time the materials were delivered we had about 2 weeks to get it done. It could have probably been a bit better if not for the crammed time frame.

The Studio

Okay..., So I've been told if there ain't no pics....,it didn't happen.:P

I've talked a good story here off and on about the Art Studio I'm remodeling. Here's the pics.

Yes...,this IS just blatant showing off. I'm male, and slipping near 50. I like my condition!:P

The mind? Well thats another thing. I'm caught in the act of fixing a screw up here.:blush: Notice the wasp sting on center of my back.

Okay, enough of me.:P Now the studio.

It was a seventy year old chicken coop that was falling apart and vermin chewed. Wish I had thought to get earlier pics. The large windows are Lexan plastic. Hugely expensive!

Some more custom butchery.

Outside, I'm installing a water feature. Waterfalls, small streams, and fish ponds. I love landscaping!

Got my new princess two days ago from the shelter. She's a beautiful chocolate point Siamese. There were so many sweet babies there but I couldn't have them all. Isn't she a beauty? Her name is Lady Sonja. I couldn't bestow the name Cleo upon her because thats my beagle's name. I'm saving Bast for the Egyptian Mao I'm going to import. She likes to snuggle under the blankets and hide from the dogs. :D

Mammatus

Well, I get home yesterday from College Station and mother nature decided to put on a show. First, a few mammatus clouds. When I saw these, I knew something nice was going to happen. My cam phone is pretty good. :D Once darkness came, the lightning show was beautiful! Although, tornado watching was no fun. :/

Today's Tornado's 03-31-08

I took these pictures today, Monday March 31st around 3pm central before the tornado sirens went off in Burleson. After spotting this I called 911. There was some debate on whether this was just a wall cloud or a tornado but I've never seen wall clouds with rotation like this. The video isn't that great but you might be able to see the rotation.

Rocky Mountain National Park

I thought I'd post some photos from Rocky Mountain National Park in Northern Colorado. Hope you enjoy. :)

The 1st two photos are in Estes park, which is at 7522 feet elevation, on the way towards Rocky Mountain National Park. The hotel is the Stanley Hotel, which is the setting for Stephen King's "The Shining". The elk are in the middle of the town. Small town though.

I shrunk the photos down about 90% for easier uploading.

Surprisingly, I didn't really take any decent ones of the mountains at the edge of the park. There are several 14000+ ft mountains around and I didn't do them justice with the camera. I guess I'll have to go back again. ;)

Annette was 13 years younger than Natasha, this picture was taken the year Natasha and I were married. I believe she was 17 or 18.

The "warrior years" she served in the U.S. Army transportation division for 4 years. She won sharpshooter rifleman and expert hand grenade badges.
Not a lady to get into a fire fight with ... unless she was on your side.

Back in California after her discharge. Around 30 here, she had several boyfriends but never found her dream guy ... she never married.

Friday the 13th Tornadic Hail storm in D/FW

I grabbed these on the way home from shopping with my moto phone. Then I took some shots at home with my digital. Unfortunately, I got some minor hail damage on my car. :/ But, so far we've had a really great tornado season. A few weeks ago when I was in fort davis, hill country (Austin area) got a lot of activity. In december I got stuck between two massive fronts and the action was amazing. I followed it from Corpus Christi to DFW (about 5 hours apart). I'll attach those too. Kinda angry with myself for not getting any video of the rotation though, but you really aren't thinking about that when its about to drop on your head! =P

Well, I've been taking more sculpting classes and here are the results. Neither are finished but that's okay since they are oil based (which means I can keep putting them off forever basically). I'm not sure how I want to finish the girl and the skeleton thingy is from an anatomy class. We started off with just the skeleton and are now adding muscles. I didn't get to get a pic of just the skeleton (kind of bummed) but I plan to take a picture each week to show progress. It's quite amazing to see how the body works. Anyway, here you go:

Storm Chasin

Nick and I drove to Galveston, Port Aransas and Corpus this week and on the way home we got stuck between two fronts; one from the gulf and the one that hit Colorado. Needless to say, we witnessed some scary, yet amazing weather. My only regret was that I didn't bring my video camera and that we weren't in the Jeep! :D The cloud rotation was freaking me out. I thought for sure a tornado would drop on me any minute. As it was, we were surrounded by 3 F1's within 30 miles of each other. The ocean pics were taken in Galveston and Corpus and the clouds pics were taken 40 miles south of Fort Worth about 4 hours after the gulf pics. I thought they were pretty amazing!
