Creating a clerkship is the only thing on my to do list around here (um, somebody let me know if there is anything else :P). Not sure if we really need to alter the constitution or if a law will do. I don't have a stream of (internet) time available these next few days, but I'll draw something up soon.

we need a constitutional amendment to have the people elect *one person* who has the authority to fill in for a missing President, Senator or Judge instantly anytime needed and who's authority ends immediately as soon as the missing official reappears or another is elected.

I suggest that this position be named Deputy Dog. ;)
