There's nothing that allows room for us to declare Scipio as our Princep w/o going through the process (from the impression I've received by reading this). Then again, could the members Supreme Court shed any possible light on some way to avoid going through the process?

On another note, I have no quarrels with either going through the process or Jerm's idea.

RE: Senate Term 1 Princeps Election

In the interest of not unnecessarilly stalling the game, I'd like to make it clear that I am not running for princeps. If Zone likewise says the same (he being the only other one who has warlords and qualified to be princeps), I see no reason why we should not declare Scipio princeps and move this game along.

RE: Senate Term 1 Princeps Election
Scipio Africanus (3/27/2007)
In sum, I think the most important job of the Senators is to know the will of the people, and to represent that will in the game play.
That brought a tear to me eye!

RE: Senate Term 1 Princeps Election

I would like to announce my candidacy for Princep. I own Warlords which is necessary. As I pointed out when I ran for Senate, I am familiar with the game, and I strive to win. I am not biased against or for any particular strategy, and I try to adjust and adapt to best optimize chances for ultimate victory depending on the situation.
I will be absent periodically on weekends for real-life stuff (mostly caving) but I have been a regular visitor to 1BC for years, so I don't think this will present a serious problem. I am currently seeking a Deputy.

I previously announced my candidacy here, and Bismarck asked me a few questions.

In sum, I think the most important job of the Senators is to know the will of the people, and to represent that will in the game play.

Senate Term 1 Princeps Election

In accordance with the Constitution and SC #3, the Senate is required to elect a Princeps from among its numbers.

Senators who wish to do so may campaign for the position in this thread. After 72 hours, all Senators will be asked to vote on public ballot for one of their peers. Note that every Senator is considered a candidate by default.
