It does, which is why I was thinking someone might want to move up to the next difficulty level. For me its why I have other games still installed on my computer.

I don't bother to build ICBM until I see other civs building them. When this happens I'll build a few but I am not overly concerned with keeping up with there numbers. I won't use them unless I have been attacked by ICBM's.

Excellent for taking out large concentrated navies.

Also, if you can find a suitable shore city you can take it using only 1 ICBM and 1 transport of marines/defenders. No pollution, either! It's the pollution that really irks me...

In very special situations where that city is at the tip of a peninsula and the land bridge is one square wide with hills/mountain, and it's a city of a very large nations homeland, they will put 80% of their offensive units on said mountain. One ICBM to wipe out literally hundreds of tanks and mech infantry is certainly worth it! Plus, only one or two squares of pollution.
Doesn't happen often (and even then it's usually after the game is won) but OH so fun

I once made a few ICBMs (as the indians)I was at war with the english.I made the UN and won the vote.I decided to play a few more turns and a turn after the UN victory i launched all the ICBMs i had got on London.kaboom!I say that you can avoid the AIdeclaring war on you after you launch ICBM by keeping MPPs with all but the civ to be nuked.
Hope this helps
