My friend and I keep getting the sync error after we generate our first turn when playing Conquests we do not have this problem with play the world. We are using the same patches and we are trying to do it with internet connection we have also tried dialing each others ISP. Anyone got any ideas?

Have you tried pinging eachother's IPs outside the game? Open command prompt and type 
 ping [IP]
so something like 
 ping 127.0.0.1
. If all four packets come back then it's working ok and it's a game problem.
