Far off in the west we meet people called Japanese and Chinese they help one of our warrior bands defeat the Barbarian Carib tribe.
Many trades bring us the secrets of Construction and much gold and many slaves. Roads are completed to the gems in the shining mountains, to the beaver and to many villages that our people may travel easier.
The people build the villages of Plenty Fish, Big Bay, Rocky Point and Mighty Fish. A Barracks is built to train the young men in the art of the lance. The first temple is built to honor Wan-Kan-Ta.
We know the Egyptians who know only us. We know the Spanish and the Vikings who know us and each other. We know the Japanese and Chinese who know us and each other. The Chiefs are wise, and trade knowledge secretly with each of these groups. It is believed that other people live beyond the Chinese and the Spanish, that are unknown to us, as they are close to us in knowledge. The Vikings, Egyptians and Japanese are backward people.
These are good years, and in the year 1730 bc, in the moon when the deer shed their antlers, the great shaman Climbs High has a vision of making currency and tells the people that we have entered a new age.
And the people have lived in this land for 2250 years.

Summery:
We have researched Alphabet, Writing, Philosophy, Mathematics and Currency. We acquired Map making as a bonus for reaching Philosophy first. We acquired Bronze Working, and Code of Laws from goody huts.
We popped 13 goody huts revealing 2 tech's, one settler and 2 warriors, the other 8 were hostile killing 3 of our warrior bands and promoting two bands to elite. Not a great results for a emperor game but good enough. The one settler was huge.
Trading with other civ's gained all the other Bronze age tech's, 6 slaves and, a net plus of 368 gold, most of which was spent establishing embassies.

The world as we know it.

Fun to see how you had to settle the jungle first, instead of the (river) plains...

Trading with other civ's gained all the other Bronze age tech's, 6 slaves and, a net plus of 368 gold, most of which was spent establishing embassies.
That sounds like a fantastic start to me... I especially like that you traded (so many!) slaves; definitely worth the techs...

Uhm, are you done now?

Ok we are back Football draft is over and the pain pills are back to doing the job.

*************************************

The year 1675bc brings sad tales a band of young men have been rubbed out by Chelias barbarians, the people weep and feel sorrow for their family's.
A few years later a Numidian barbarian camp is raided and 25 gold is taken.
In the year 1550bc, in the moon when the birds fly north, the village of Great Water builds the first war canoe that can safely travel on the great water.
Teachers of the people travel to other lands and trade knowledge for much wealth, 2 slaves and 396 gold are given to the people by others for our secrets.
The Villages of Sweet Plain, Long River, and Hill Top are founded.

*****

In the year 1375bc The Shaman Great Elk has two visions. The first is of red haired giants, with great axes, that will come from the north into the lands of the people, and cause much despair. Great Elk tells the people that they must build many trained war bands to guard against these people. To prevent the vision the people must strike first, so the red haired ones will fear the people, and look elsewhere to raid.
The second vision of Great Elk is of a great feudal society that will be able to support the needed warriors. The changes cause anarchy to spread over the land and there is much upheaval in the lives of the people.
In this year comes a second time of tears, as many barbarians beset the lands of the people. The young men are brave, they fight well winning many honor's, and soon the bad hearted ones are driven from the lands of the people. The newly settled village of Crooked River is ransacked by the invaders before they are driven away.
Our teachings bring 409 gold and one more slave from the more backward people in the world.
The villages of Crooked River, Big Valley, Forest River, and Slow River are settled.
In the Year 1250bc the people have lived in this good land for 2750 years and a time of peace and good hunting is upon the land. The feudal times foretold by Great Elk have taken root, these are good times to live in the lands of the people.
The knowledge that the people have of the world grows as warrior scout bands still roam far beyond the borders of the land.
