There certainly are. However, 3D modelling software is very expensive for any platform. Unless you have about $500+ laying around, it will be pretty difficult to find something suitable.

IIRC Milkshape is free but I don't know if it works on Mac or not. You'd have to look through their site.

Addited: Doh!, after looking a bit Milkshape is PC only from what I've found. I did come across this though for Macs Meshworks

It's free for 30 days as shareware but then $30 after that for a license.
