havent made a story in a while....the story doesnt begin til ive settled and gone to Monarchy.
The Egyptians are pissing me off because they keep encroaching my turf. I wasnt able to get SoZ because i lunged for the ivory around Nicomedia too late. at least the americans are on the other side of the continent...
Nicaea, 390 AD
Justin was working in the fields, again. Each and every day. The grain had to be harvested to feed the citizens of the City. If it weren't for the Great River, there probably wouldn't be any wheat here, and maybe not the City either. At least the bandits were destroyed. The bandits were the holdouts from the old despotism. Theodora had established her military hegemony over the nation, and kept power that way. Now, she was officially the Empress Theodora, and there was nothing anyone would do about it. The monarchy was no doubt more efficient. Nothing much had happened since then. Tensions, however, did seem to be up with Egypt, at least from what he had heard. The overseer continued to yell and scream and crack his whip, but few of the slaves were bothered by it anymore. He glanced over at the Great River. Several times he had contemplated running into it and fleeing. Several times he had dismissed the idea as foolish. But as the height of summer neared, it seemed more tempting...
