-----Meaning-----

There were alot of orders conflicting this round as you might see. Both France and England tried to put a fleet in the English Channel but without support they had to retreat to the province they came from. This also happened in Piemonte where France and Italy tried to place an army. For Italy this meant that the army trying to enter Piemonte had to retreat to Venice and since the army in Rome had tried to move into Venice that unit had to retreat back to Rome(Under the one unit per province rule). The Black Sea was also battled over resulting with the withdrawal of both ships into the provinces they came from. The other orders were successful.

-----For the Nations-----

For England this means that it has averted a possible threat by France with the stalemate in the English Channel. If England had not tried to move it's ship into the channel the French could have tried to invade from Picardy. However, that is not a huge threat this early in the game but the one who controls the channel has alot of power in this area. For England it is vital to control the channel. Englands alliance with Germany resulting in the Mun-Bur move was also successful and England hopes that with the aide of Germany, France can be destroyed and England can expand into western Europe.

France tried, and failed, to launch a ship into the English channel. It was not a surprise that England would try to do the same but France can breathe a little easier now that it has kept the channel out of English control for the time being. Another problem has spawned from the east for France though. A German army managed to gain control of Burgundy and is therefore threatening both Marseilles and Paris. This has copromised France's possibilities for expansions as the most natural expansion for France would be Spain and Portugal. Now France has to protect Paris and Marseilles while using it's ship to keep the English Channel out of English hands. If the army in Paris had moved to Burgundy in the first turn this would all have been avoided.

Germany is very pleased with the success of it's move into Burgundy as this almost guarantees that Germany will get both Holland, Belgium and Denmark during the fall turn, provinding three more units for Gemany to wield. Russia did not move from Warsaw to Silesia and this might mean that Russia does not want a war with Germany at this time. Germany agreed with England not to cause a war between the two nations, instead focusing it's force on France but in light of the curcuimstances it will not hold up it's end of the bargain. Three reinforcements by next year is too tempting and Germany has no plans on moving against France.

Russia was very passive this turn and put a ship in the Gulf of Bothnia for a quick expansion into Sweden and it's two land units in Glicia and Ukraine to take Rumania. It managed to keep Turkey from gaining the Black Sea as part of a stand off agreement with Turkey. Both of them were to move into the Black Sea to purposely create the standoff. Russia will take it slow, relying on a concentrated force to try and conquer the Balkans and therefore is trying not to provoke a war with Germany.

Italy was unable to prduce any stable alliances during the negotiations and so was forced to play it safe. The expansion to Tunisia is a sure thing and gives Italy a new unit to wield next year. The aggressive move by France into Piemonte was stopped and though it would normally be bad for Italy for France to show such aggressiveness so early the German Mun -Bur move saved the day and Italy feels a bit more secure. No hostile act was made by Austro-Hungary either. Italy will bide it's time and see what happens.

Austro-Hungary tried to forge an alliance with Turkey and though the talks were promising it feels like Turkey is secretly forging an alliance with Russia. hungary will take it slow and watch what happens next turn. It will try to hold on to Serbia and move into Greece during the fall turn though that might be contested by Turkey.

Turkey has forged an alliance with Russia and is quite confident that it will last for some time, Turkey only has to keep most of the Balkans in it's control. Surely, Austro-Hungary will move into Greece next turn but the army inBulgaria will take care of that.

-----Reinforcements/Losses-----

England: +1

Italy: +1

Austro-Hungary: +1

Turkey: +1

-----Meaning-----

There were three stand-offs this turn, one in the English Channel, one in Greece and one in the Black Sea. You might also notice that some units did not get an order. This means they got a Hold order(Written: (F/A (Province) HOLD), which basically means that it will stay in place. There were also some support and convoy orders. An interesting support order is the double support by Austro-Hungary. Serbia supports Trieste from attack and Trieste supports Serbia from attack so that both units if they come under attack have a value of 2 and therefore a force of 3 would have to attack to dislodge any of them. However, if a unit attacks one of the two units that unit's support will be broken and an attack on the other unit by two units would dislodge it.

The reinforcements gained by the different nations reflect how many supply centers they gained. These forces must be placed inside each players home supply centers and can be either a fleet or an army(Of course, fleets can only be placed in coastal regions).

After the Fall turn the reinforcement orders are to be sent. Below follows an example:

Reinforcements

F Nap

This means that when the judge recieves the orders he will promptly place a new unit of the designated type in the designated spot.

One day is given to deliver reinforcement orders.
