It's really not tricky. Go to Multiplayer and start a new game, pick the settings you want (world type, game rules, ply style (PBEM) etc. and start. When you end your turn, the game automatically saves. You open your e-mail and attach the file from your hard drive in the normal manner.

I should have guessed you were GMT from your name

Turn order... well it doesn't really matter if we're both GMT, so you can pick who you want to send it to really. Put me down for a random civ

Dudes, do you guys want to play with my "supercharged" PBEM map that I made for Vina and the Gang? If you do you have to absolutely SWEAR! that you will not discuss the map with anyone.

I was minded to compare this site to a sort-of-private Facebook, but, on reflection, that's not right . . . Nope. Here is a forum to exchange views and discuss topics and maybe have some literary fun; post some interesting pics (not Megabits of family krap); flag up some internet sites of Interest; pass on the occasional joke. To me, (struggling for analogy here) it's bit more like a quiet and cosy pub with locals you know and the occasional visitor from "outside"; thick stone walls and a cellar full of well-kept ale. Facebook, on the other hand, is some awful massive city-centre club that serves Fosters lager.   And, you know what? I am not unhappy with that analogy. I prefer the pub.

Ok guys I have set it up and sent it on to CivFan. The settings are:

Fractal , Huge, Temperate, Medium sea level, 3 Human and 7 AI players, Warlord difficulty, Ancient Era, Normal speed.

Ok probably not exciting for you guys but I aint very good at it and I am expecting a pasting from you. Let me know if you get it Civ.

Received and sent.  Not too crazy about my starting position, but I heard that civ 4 pbem maps tend to be fair so I'm trusting it.

Adam, send the save to mk7676@gmail.com from now on.  The only reason why I gave you the hotmail address is because that's what my MSn uses.  I only still keep it to catch spam.  Oh, and nice game name

lol thanks. I figured the name was appropriate for me I will send the save game to gmail from now on. Just glad you got it.
