On that note, I will say that the sintax checker only checks for moves that are "legal" not whether what you put is what you want.  If you put WAR-UKR and (A)SEV-UKR and you meant SEV S WAR-UKR, that would not come through.  That said, it's probably not a good idea to announce, like I did, that I use it and that it works.  I've never had any problems with it.  I will point out that I have never misordered before.

Oh yeah, THE GAME'S OVER!  England and Turkey draw.  I wrote a long press from my point of view over there.  I'd be interested in hearing from everyone else too.  Fun game guys.

-Why did they call it a draw? Did France side with Turkey to the end or something? I saw numerous holes in Turkey's defenses.

Have you looked at the map recently?  Here it is:

Please explain.  The draw was agreed upon by all remaining players.

For all England knew, France would have built in BRE, but he decided not to build since he figured the draw would occur.  Besides, what does that have to do with Turkish defenses.  Turkey's at 17!  Where can Turkey lose any centers?  France is allied with England so Turkey cannot make any headway from this point.  England can't make any headway on Turkey (unless I'm missing something).  Even if he takes all of France, it's 17 - 17.  WAR cannot be taken, even if England gets LVN, BOH cannot be taken, TYS cannot be taken and PIE cannot be taken, hence the draw.  If there was no army in SWE or NOR or FIN at this point, I could possibly take the solo but his move there made that a non-issue.  Might as well draw now rather than postpone it a couple turns.

-There are known draw lines for Diplomacy and this game came close to one of them, but with the notable exception that St. Petersburg is not in the hands of the eastern power, from there the lines can be broken. It would take some time but England would have won, which is more fun than a draw. But then again this doesn't really matter, I just like to have complete victories.

As I pointed out in the recap over at Bounced, if Turkey had decided to go for the win, there is a good chance that he would've lost. England and I were already preparing ourselves in case that happened. I had already submitted an A build for BRE and England was moving his fleets around the Iberian coast. Turkey had moved into PIE (which had been a neutral zone), so we were waiting to see if a draw was declared. Since I don't like three way draws, I had offered my services to knock out Italy and Austria. Nothing personal, but they had made some moves I didn't like. Part of that was lack of comm. on my part, but this allowed me to stay in the game as long as I did.

I had alot of fun this time and look forward to playing again. In about two weeks i'll be in a better position another one, so count me in as of now.
