I saw the 5 star rating, and was sceptical for one post with no replies. I decided to read it as I realised it was only one paragraph long. In fact, after glancing through, I realise it's one sentence long! Although whether it counts as a sentence as it never officially ends is another matter entirely. 2 commas and a forward slash... that is all the punctuation... 252 words and Word picked up 27 spelling/grammar issues without counting the little ones that it can't pick up, like putting in 'to' instead of 'too'. It couldn't even come up with the correct option for one of them... English not being a first language can be considered an excuse for some of the grammatical errors, but with an inbuilt spell checker on these forums, there is NO excuse for much of this. Sorry for the rant, and I realise it's ages old, but it really was so appalling that it made me angry (blame my parents )! I had a load of time on my hands, so... Turquoise = Words/punctuation missed out, dark blue = Caps choice is wrong and red = spelling error. That's without many of the structural changes I would make to the entire piece including the change of font size half way through...: In the dawn of the year 4000 BC, the tribe of Egypt decide to stop being nomads. Their leader, candc32, wants to rule the world. He quickly builds an army and sends them to the Egyptian/Arabian border where they are trying to take a copper resource. The defeat of an archer puts the city in Egyptian hands. Mace men, rifle men, and axe men take all Arabian cities by 1994 AD. The war is over. It started in 240 BC. It was long and terrible, but the prize: Arabia. My guns turned next on England, where the city of Canterbury switches hands 5 times. I captured 5 cities, then prepared to march on London. Four units are stationed there. I had 2 units marching towards it. The four units defending the city were all archers. I quickly took the city and headed to Warwick and crushed them. I then upgraded my armies and built 5 transports and 20 infantry. 4 went to the Spanish main land. The other one went to a Spanish colony near the Egyptian main land. I quickly took the colony and had little trouble with the main land with exception of Madrid flipping, then me taking it back. Finally my armies turn on Germany. The only trouble I had here were advanced units such as machine guns, but over all I flattened them quickly. The last city I took had only two units on it, a machine gun and an archer. The game was over and the world was won by the mighty Egyptian empire. If someone in the future wants to write something like this, and English isn't their first language, I'd be happy to proof read and suggest changes to them. It makes the whole experience as a reader more entertaining and... well... bearable... I may not get oit perfect, but I like to think I pick up on most things. Oh, and I've just noticed a couple of other errors above that I didn't spot before. It's easy to miss some when there are so many...
