| | Greetings all... The June GOTM is here a few days early for your enjoyment. 
Those of you old timers will get a kick out of the Leadername. Settings: Version 1.61 Difficulty: Noble Civ: Russia (Philosophical, Expansive) Map: Islands Size: Small Climate: Temperate Sea: Medium Era: Ancient Speed: Normal Random Large and Tiny Islands Modified Assets Locked All Victories Enabled Except Time ---- To make things a bit easy going in this first month of GOTM's, we'll just shoot for the highest score regardless of victory condition. In future months we may go by earliest victory or perhaps only enable one victory condition. When you complete the game, please post your final save. You may also of course provide a screenshot of your triumph. I have enabled the ".civ4savedgame" attachment, but I would prefer that you zip the files that you upload if you have the knowledge/capability. At the conclusion of the GOTM, all save files will be deleted from the thread, leaving only the original save and the member screenshots. All submissions must be posted by June 26th. The Champion will have the honor of the next months GOTM leadername, GOTM Champion medal graphics that are currently in design which will replace the "member level image" below your avatar, and perhaps something else I have up my sleeve. By Downloading the file, you pledge to refrain from any nefarious activities which would be considered cheating such as reloading a previous save to correct a mistake or gain any advantage from knowlegde gained before the reload. |

I did a search on that user, and he has eight posts and has been here since the most recent December..... Why would old-timers have any connection? Am I reading the name in the screenshot correctly? Is it Adburn? I'm stumped...WOW! I had no idea that he had been back around. If you had a look at his first post, you would have some idea of his past: Hello Everybody - i'm new please be nice to me!!
Well i'm almost new - i was a member about 2-3 years ago in the early days of civ3. I was called adburn back then too so a few of you old timers may remember me.
I was a little naughty sometimes back in those days and often incurred the wrath of Sean and Leo and the gang - he even banned me for a few days once!
Anyway i got civ 4 for christmas and was having trouble with my ATI graphics card so i searched the web for a bit of help and came across this forum.
Its great to be back - sorry to anyone who was at the receiving end of my very dry sense of humor last time. I promise to be on my best behavior this time.
Look forward to whipping all your buts in multi player just as soon as i work out what this religeon thing is all about. "Banned for a few days" is putting it lightly... He even tried a return back then under the name of "Artful Dodger", but was sniffed out then when an eagle eyed member (Leo, I think) noticed the similar pattern of posting. A pattern which usually involved Cleo in some way... He even mentions her in one of the eight posts of his current account. |
