Not into PBEM...but didn't want you to think no one read.

Plus I have conquests...not sure the game could go back and forth between us, even if I wanted to play a PBEM...

I'm sure someone will do it though.

Oh...an idea...if you don't get someone to play PBEM...what you can do is start a game, after a while, post the save and tell us what you've been doing and have some people look it over and give advice.

I'd be interested in playing, Rodent, though I've got CivIII: Complete and I'm unsure what patch number it's in.

I don't have internet access for a online play, so I can only do PBEM.

Let me know if our game versions are compatible.

If you've got complete, then you could play.  You'd have to open just plain old civ III though, not Conquests.  Your patch levels will be the same, as Complete includes all the patches with it.

I like it alot, but didn't know that the Conquests and Play the world were Expansion packs. I guess that's the advantages for waiting till the Gold Editions come out.

I did the same thing with The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, waited for the game of the year edition which included both Bloodmoon and Tribanal expansions .....it also had the added advantage that there were thousands of mods out there by the time i got started.

Got the game.

Could somebody post me a link or tell me where I can find the rules for the Dynasty variant? Haven't heard of it except through one or two posts here on the forum.

I'm running a search also to see if I find anything.

The only rules to a dynasty game is that you all set up how many turns each player will play.

Beyond that, it's however you want to play it, whether there's a certain consensus needed or what needs to be reported on at 'shift-change.'

Most dynasties I've played it's X turns, you do  whatever you want when you're in control.  Then give a synopsis in as much or little detail as you want.  You can request that the successor do something you were planning on but they don't have to.

Add: Still trying to get my Civ3 up and running.  Civ 4 and WoW are big hindrances to that quest...I haven't played a game of Civ 3 in like a year.
