Hello,

This looked like the best place to put this question. I was reading the wikipedia entry about CivIII and I came across an entry that mentions Austria as a bonus Civilization, not included with the CD.

Is this true? And where would I get it to add it to the present civs?

Cannot remember which mod it was for sure. It might have been the Double Your Pleasure mod for C3C:

Yep, it says so right there, Austria, Ethiopia and Israel are the additional Civs. That was  nice mod. I made a couple maps for that . . .

I was minded to compare this site to a sort-of-private Facebook, but, on reflection, that's not right . . . Nope. Here is a forum to exchange views and discuss topics and maybe have some literary fun; post some interesting pics (not Megabits of family krap); flag up some internet sites of Interest; pass on the occasional joke. To me, (struggling for analogy here) it's bit more like a quiet and cosy pub with locals you know and the occasional visitor from "outside"; thick stone walls and a cellar full of well-kept ale. Facebook, on the other hand, is some awful massive city-centre club that serves Fosters lager.   And, you know what? I am not unhappy with that analogy. I prefer the pub.

Actually it was available in Conquests.  You have to mod it to replace one of the Civilizations if you want to use it.  It's (from what I remember) a swap-and-drop method of including it.  It is also used in the Napoleonic war conquest.

I never did it but I believe it was included somewhere how to do it.

from what i understood, the files and everything were somewhere in the folder, you just had to find them and put it together. i think firaxis was going to put them in, but bailed and made a different civ. i didnt look for it, so it might not even be complete, i dont know
