| ironbreaker_23 (8/16/2006) Oh another question. Why is the map the same as it was before Installed the program? Is it going to be the same for everyone? Is that why we need this saved file? If thats the case then why bother putting the settings on here at all if its prearranged to go directly to the game? Just curious.I'm not sure if you are asking why "technically" them map is the same, or what the "reasoning" is behind it being the same map. So, I'll answer the "technical" part first: The map is the same as it was before because you are loading the same save file as before. As for the reasoning behind this: The GOTM is a contest between board members. To be as fair as possible, the same map/savefile needs to be played by all to help negate ambiguity in scoring. This way, the high score wins, instead of having to take all kinds of other factors into consideration. Yes, it's the same for everyone. That's why you need to have the file. The settings are listed so that you will know what they are before you play. Some people like to know. As for your previous post, you can change the leadername to whatever you want. |
