Primus - King Lamus has announced the official end to a dark period. The war that never was one, has been wiped off the table. After 50 years without a president, the community is voting again.

An exciting race between the three candidates KURT, ZYN, and FRAGMATE finds it's climax tomorrow. And already the polls are showing the two dominating parties PATH and MHH in favor. Kurt, member of MHH is slightly ahead and will become the second president of the Community if things stay the same. PATH member ZYN has not lost yet, but he might have to settle for Vice-President. Fragmate will probably loose the elections, and will only remain captain of the small RED party.

With the official treaty signed... excuse me, verbally agreed between the Huttage leader and KING LAMUS, it does not automatically mean a change in attitude towards eachother. In Huttage, the opinion on community matters is still very devided. The distance is still a problem, and no plans are made to come closer towards eachother.

The influence on Huttage however is still growing, mainly because of the Palace of Primus. Every traveler who arrives from Primus tells about the beautiful edifice that can be seen from every house in town. People talk about the most beautiful construction made by man. Some adventurous Huttagers are making plans to travel to Primus, to see for themselves.

Primus - The community has a new president. It took two voting rounds to finally decide by the length of a stone, that MHH candidate KURT411 is the second community president.

The first round ended in a draw, although for a short period it already looked like ZYN had one active citizen vote short. But it was of all people CLEOPATRA of the RED party, the only female politically active citizen of Primus, who had not cast her vote yet.

Cleopatra, beloved by her male colleagues, voted for Zyn, making a 'tiebreaker' necessary.

Charming Impact

The female charmes of the gorgious MoI-deputy already had a large impact on some of the community members. Like ADBURN, who in a amusing conversation tried to find out what she was wearing at night, offering to buy her something at the Victoria's Secret's hut, and giving her his hut-number. Cleopatra, when asked and although having to hear these comments all the time, decided she didn't want to miss Adburn around. As she eloquently stated: "We need a Community Idiot".

But who would have guessed it was her vote that Kept ZYN in the race for another 24 hours?

The tie-breaker was exciting aswell, and ended in a 3% vote difference in favour of KURT, making him the new president. Zyn, who was never really in the lead during the race but always a very close second, has to settle for Vice-President.

Eager

President Kurt can't wait to get started. He moved immediately after the result with his family into the presidential house, and started to pick up where fellow MHH-member PANZER left scads of work many years ago.

His first task will be the training of many citizens to become 'Wariors', very much in the line of his party, the MHH. Although there is no possible threat, a plan has been made to form 'discovering wariors'. Their primary task will be searching for a second place to found a new city. The community is growing rapidly, and it is expected that one day it will be wise to create a new group of settlers to move to a new destination.

With the assembly completed again, things might be speeding up again, if only a little...

Hehe.. nothing like a good Adburn/Cleo story and headline to bring back the old times.

Primus - The borders of Primus stretching from east of Mount Scorpius along the sea shores, all the way to the Huttage Hills where once the little Huttage tribe was located, roads leading in every wind direction, the grasslands being worked to bring food for an enormous amount of Primus citizens and the influence of Primus is felt all over the world. Travelers leaving to found new towns, and every corner of the world is discovered by fearless Community wariors.

Science fiction? Many believe it is. But THE LAKE discovered that these are the plans of the community government as we speak. With one major impact already on the verge of occuring: the exodus of Huttage.

There is no twist or turn, with the current growth rate of Primus, using the Southern road as the way to prosperity, it is only a matter of time before the town of Primus will need to grounds around the huts of Huttage to grow even further. And that would mean, annexation of the people of Huttage.

But because the ground beside the well known Huttage Hills, the ground that now provides the soil on which Huttage was once build, is very valuable for an ever growing town like Primus, Huttage must disappear.

Because it is expected that many Huttage family will resist leaving the ground of their birth, a secret plan by the government is discussed as we speak: The founding of a second city, named after the person that kept Huttage together all these years, our late wise leader NIBBON.

The town of Nibbon will be located in a place that still needs to be discovered. Sources say that the warior training in Primus are given 'description' lessons. They are trained to report every detail they come across, giving the government of Primus a well description of what the world looks like at the other side of Huttage Hills. That way, the perfect spot to found Nibbon can be picked, and the Huttage (and other adventurous) people can be send directly to their new habitat.

What the government might not know, is that the Huttagers are stubborn people, with a very strong conservative nature. Just marching in, and ordering them to leave will only lead to one thing: the mobilisation of Huttage. And this time for real!

It will take a lot of careful negotiation, and persuasion that leaving is in fact in the advantage of all that is now Huttage. And maybe using the fact that all of Huttage admires everything that is Community. A lot of it will depend on the creativity of the first community people to officially contact Huttage. Using the legend of Primus and it's Palace might just be the only way to get the Nibbon project on the road.

Primus - With the official launch of Primus Southern Mining Company, the road to building mines in the Southern farmlands is now open. It is expected that any time soon the first activities will start to get even more advantages out of the already flourishing south.

A test mining activity that lead to the decision already showed that their are valuable materials hidden under the soil in the south. The prime mining task will be mainly the search for bronze and copper.

Primus - For the first time in a very long time, the government of the Community has received detailed reports from the group of wariors that left Primus many, many years ago in search for new lands. The stories that reach Primus have excited the entire community more then ever...

The fearless wariors have succesfully conquered the dark hills and mountains in the north, and for the first time we have detailed reports of what is on the otherside of the Huttage Hills.

The land that stretches out was an amazing sight, the returned briefings reported. As far as the eye could see, the land was covered with trees. The North-Eastern coastline of the Pelican bay was all visible now, and another large mountain bordering the bay was spotted on a cloudless day.

Also, the wariors discovered that the forrest that borders the Pelican bay are filled with what appears to be an amazing new material. Although questions were raised about the utilitarian value, purely the assessment of the samples found at the mountain foot left many wariors in awe. A 'lighthouse' warrior even quoted: "After the discovery, no man who wore a gemstone was struck by one of the avalanches or fell down a cliff. Terra protects whoever carries the stone."

Another warrior said: "The morning light made the newly discovered mountain light up like a star filled sky, and we believe that the shimmering was also caused by the presence of these new gemstones on the mountainside." From that day on, the new mountain and hills to the north was refered to as 'Gemstone Heights'.

But the biggest discovery was not yet done, one of the briefings reported: "When reaching the upper North side of the Mountain that looks down on Huttage, we could see something that at first looked like a coast. But after a while we could see clearly it wasn't. It looked like a line of water, drawn through the forrest and a small open grassland. This must be what some travelers have reported vaguely as 'the River'. If you would leave Huttage and head straight to the North, you can't miss it."

The discovery of the river is a very important one. Indeed travelers reported that they reached the Primus area by following the River down and crossing the forrest north of Huttage. The travelers said that the water in our lake reminded them of the River, because unlike the sea water, it can be used for drinking.

Rumours already said that the small open grassland might be a good location for the Nibbon Project. The river might be just enough to ensure that the Huttagers will not protest to leave their current location.

Although also not confirmed, it is expected that the warriors will continue their journey in the highlands, because the hilltops offer such a great place to overlook the surroundings. It is said that once the McNulty Clan was living here, before joining the community.

Primus - Just a little too soon. But more then enough to unleash a serious doubt in the adequate handling by the president.

When president KURT gave the warrior discoverers orders to leave the mountain and head for the hills, the decision to do so was not yet approved by the assembly. The president even reported the move before the decision to do so was final. A mistaik that would never have been ignored by the members of the assembly. And although the outside world might not have known, THE LAKE found out that inside the assembly it was given serious consideration to impeach the second president of the community. The only reason why Kurt is still in his seat, is because of the dramatic consequences a second impeachment would have on the wellbeing of the community!

At first, it was K. LAMUS who started the objection after the president reported the move. He discovered that the order that was given was still an unaccepted proposal. A president who gives orders that are not approved by the assembly is more of a tribe chieftain then a president. No wonder there was some fierce resistance against the movement of the warrior discoverers.

FRAGMATE was the first one to speak openly about impeachment, but only in terms of warning towards the president. One more mistaik, and he will call for one, with the side note that the Vice President might be able to take over while the impeachment is in progress.

But it wasn't Fragmate who almost filed the impeachment. THE LAKE found out that one of Fragmate's colleagues, meaning another assembly member almost did file one. And that would have meant the possible early departure of the second community president. And all the logical consequences that might .

But Kurt is still president, and so far no impeachment has been filled. But it was on the edge, and it is expected that a small mistaik by our president might be enough to launch a new impeachment proces, and with little to no credit left, it might just lead to Kurt's early departure.

Primus - Deputy Cleopatra in this paper's PAGE 3 section? Although many men would have paid good money for that edition, it is probably not going to happen.

The popular female interior deputy was called to duty when WARMAX was out of town, and a decision was needed. In an intimate conversation with a LAKE reporter afterwards, Cleopatra spoke about possible consequenses of her appearing in an exposing photo shoot. Her main concern was loosing the respect of a large group of community members.
That decision might have been a little different just a few years ago. Although being a little mysterious about the wild years that lay behind her, it was obvious that the word prudence wasn't in her dictionary back then. On the contrary! Also she said that she is affraid that her wild past might follow her one day and catch up on her in the near future. "I just hope certain evidence of certain exposures will not find their way back to people that know me nowadays..."
The LAKE ofcourse started a searching expedition at the Google hut, but only found a picture of her mustang so far...
