When joining Hamas, Khalid thought children would make for a convenient human shield. What he rather found out was that they were an endless source of frustration and no small drain on (para)military efficiency.

Ordinarily I might find that humorous in some strange way. The frustration of trying to wage war with kids grabbing at your fatigues. But I saw on CNN a report on the effects of the war in Iraq, on children's minds. I'll start a thread outside of here on it too keep from bringing this down and de-railing it. KvR, I understand the light hearted approach you had in mind in presenting that. And there is humour in it. The whole point of this thread was to do what you just did. Try and take the sting out of the realities, and find something to laugh at in the worlds lunacy. Thank You.

Khalid eventually got too annoyed by the kids and chased them away. Without his human shield, a sniper of the Israeli Army took out Khalid, who soon realized that the whole virgins business was not quite what the radical clerics had made it up to be.
