(pulling himself off the floor.)  Once again Tosk delivers.  I'm still laughing!  You gotta love animals.  How fitting to end up in a satire as a cat toy.

ADDIT: I am searching for an Iranian Presidant satire.  But I think he blunders so often and so quickly that satire can't keep up!

I wonder if some of those might not actually be manikins?

OK, so now we have pics in the P&R forum, but what about it? Isn't this supposed to be a discussion section?
I can see how a pic can illustrate a point, but can it be a point in itself? That may only indirectly be the case, and if we do not make it explicit, what comes of the discussion?

I also raise this point because of something I have also stated in the reason thread: in the P&R forum more is allowed, but it is also easier to offend. We need to rely on your wisdom to post in such a way that the atmosphere is maintained in such a way that every one can still express their view.
Maybe I'll dig into this some more in the reason thread....

In any case, I do not think it is proper use of the P&R forum to have posting pictures be legitimate for the posting of picture's sake alone, when otherwise it wouldn't have been.
May be not an offense of rules, but then again, also not necessarily very wise.

I have yet to see a newspaper that does not carry political or religious satire.  As the warning on entering states "You maybe offended."  I think that making light of otherwise stingy material is not a bad thing.  I got the impression that this forum was open to all view points.

And I stated in starting this "One should be reflective of others."  You could say the same of the "What No Comedy Thread".  And that has no protective "fence".  So what do we pick and choose here?  Pictures are indeed worth a thousand words.  And do serve to illustrate a point and the comedy can if used with discretion vent alot of steam.  How much difference is there if it is posted in text or pictures.  There is no personal attack on any individual here.  None that could even be stretched to make your point Rabi.  It is merely SATIRE.  And as can be seen I laugh also at my own conditions.  Maybe there is wisdom in that.

Yes, I can see your point. But could there be a limit to satire? Could there be a ratio to which you deliver satire together with serious debate?
No newspaper would deliver 90% cartoons and 10% news and editorials, would it?
As to wisdom, I am asking about the wisdom of the poster, not of the wisdom of the perceiver. This is why I have added this question also to the reason thread. Before you decide somebody else should be able to suffer the joke you want to play, you should ponder whether it is wise to play the joke at all.

Ah, yes.  If your pulling a joke on someone just out of spite there is no Maturity, Intelligence, or Sensitvity.  You have to to take in what this might cause others to feel.  Just the same as posting text.  This sits in it's own little Topic.  Hardly 90% of the forums.  And I see it as beneficial for folks to stop in here for a laugh now and then, and discussion if warranted.  It is very easily avoided and ignored if someone is not open enough to laugh at the world as it is.  I don't see attacking anyone personally in text or pics as beneficial.  I do see the benefits of laughter of those things which we have a hard time understanding.  We agreed that challenging ideals was acceptable.  This can be done in a humorous way by those that THINK.

ADDIT:  I suppose I should have made this clear.  But I was under the impression we had hashed most of this out and we all having read your topic Rabi, agreed there is an understanding no matter what media the subject of contention arose.  Rish could just as easily posted that cartoon here and not in another topic.  Why he chose that is up to him.  I put this here to keep it corraled, so to speak.
