This is an oldie, but I don't see it here, so here ya go.

If you are military and are captured, its widely taught that if they make you do something you don't want to be doing or saying, to try to do it with your fingers crossed.  Sign of coercion.  The background is necessary for the photo.

Bush humor.

Ever wonder what happened to Mad Magazine and Alfred E. Neuman?

Just because I defended a couple of "right" positions doesn't mean I'm necessarily right-winged.   I didn't vote for the guy, hehe.

Okay, okay... I didn't vote for the OTHER guy either.  hehe.  I wrote in McCain, which may be "wasting" my vote, but I voted my conscience, which morally didn't feel like "wasting" to me.

I tend to be liberal on some social programs and more conservative on business/military and a mix of both party ideals on other things.  Probably right of center, but I can also say that I have voted for both of my current Colorado senators, both from each party.

And since this is the comedy section and I'm typing NOT-funny stuff, here's one that would have been funny in 2004, but I don't remember there being a comedy politics thing then. Konrad von Richtmark's funny-photo reminded me of this.

My Diet Mountain Dew bet is that Hillary takes a huge lead and the media plays up that she probably can't win the election.... and just in the nick of time, Gore announces he will run (after losing more weight) and is billed as the saviour of the party and he wins the Dem nomination and possibly the election.  He's an oddity in that he's gotten more fame and notoriety since losing than anyone I can remember in anything.  He's about as "rock star" as politics has at the moment.
