I'm sure we won't need a turn tracker thread, but this can be for any questions, comments etc. as we go through. I've started the game and sent it to Scipio with random leaders and so on.

-- tones (9/1/2009) I was minded to compare this site to a sort-of-private Facebook, but, on reflection, that's not right . . . Nope. Here is a forum to exchange views and discuss topics and maybe have some literary fun; post some interesting pics (not Megabits of family krap); flag up some internet sites of Interest; pass on the occasional joke. To me, (struggling for analogy here) it's bit more like a quiet and cosy pub with locals you know and the occasional visitor from "outside"; thick stone walls and a cellar full of well-kept ale. Facebook, on the other hand, is some awful massive city-centre club that serves Fosters lager. And, you know what? I am not unhappy with that analogy. I prefer the pub.

Well, since we have re-started, I don't guess it would hurt to restart one more time eh? Reason being: why don't we "do it right" right from the start, and have everyone's email addresses entered into their player identities in the PBEM setup screen? Zone, you know my email address, and Mongooses, and since I've unblocked gmail in my spam filters, I received your note from your gmail account just fine. Whattaya say!? Three's a charm eh!?

Zone wrote this in another thread the other day: Zone (2/2/2007) Don't most people have the latest patch? If so, then we'd all be screwed... It's good advice, really. And I made sure, when I had problems loading this particular PBEM, that I was properly patched to 2.08. When I noticed that I was, my confusion escalated over why I couldn't get the file open. Now, I know that neither Scipio nor Zone had patched Warlords. For Shame!

Sheeze. I cannot believe WE were the source of the problems and Mongoose was taking all the grief! Turn 1 sent to Mongoose. Vivre la France!
