I'm almost there. No more Aztecia! I just need to wait for the bouts of revolution to end in my new towns, maybe overrun a Spanish city or two, and Domination is mine, hopefully tonight... (I'm relieved it's not just Conquest victory; my arm is aching from clicking so much.)

So both civs survived on the other continent until you joined in... I've got an entire continent of Aztecs to take on... Once I've delt with the Perisans... This may have to be a rollover at this rate... Unless you can finish it tomorrow Zig. I doubt I can. If you don't manage, I propose that we carry on with them and a new GOTM is started for March, and whichever of us gets the higher score when we finish (deadline mid-march to ensure it gets done) this one, get's the award... Afterall, I'm sure people who didn't want to wade into this one will want to have a go in March. Edit: Don't take this as a 'I won't be able to finish'. I've got a few spare hours at the moment. I'm going to give it a go

Lol, it's not gonna be finished today. I'm going to make a dash for the civ III GOTM as others have already finished on time. I'll continue playing this one even if you do get done in time just to see...

I'm extending this for 1 week... till March 7th, so that maybe a few can get saves submitted. The new game may start while this one is still underway.

Sounds good; I'd hate to win unchallenged...

I was waiting for the revolutions to end, but 12 turns is a long time when you're cranking out 12+ new units a turn, so I made a mad dash across Spain and finished them off virtually unopposed. All this was before Domination kicked in (67% of land, last time I looked), so I actually have a much-coveted Conquest win!

2050 AD - Augustus Caesar

It sounds like you're having a much harder game, Zone. I blocked the bottleneck on the starter continent with MechInfs and kept it blocked until I was through with Persia. Without Oil and Aluminum they were not well off... I also lined up enough ships along my coast to catch all incoming Transports. Weren't too many of those, but I guess the onslaught after I landed explains why that was...

Good luck! (but not too much...)

Lol, yeah, Aztecs are really strong. I have Persia down to 4 cities, so I should be rolling over them soonish, but it's tough going. I put a city pretty much in that bottleneck, so I'm safe enough, but it's just tough going. I didn't concentrate much on my navy, but I'm going to have to soon to launch a massive offensive against the Aztecs. The way I'm defending against invasions at the moment, is to have one city pouring out ICBM's. I have Jets on each side of the continent, having a peak over the oceans each turn. If I spot a big convoy of transports etc, I wait for them to get in range of my stealth bombers, take them down to 2/3 health, then drop ICBM's on them until I get a successful hit. Only one destroyer has survived that method so far The persians tried to put a boat on the oil in the South, but I've had a sub sitting under the ice (I Love that you can do that ) and mucnhed it before it could form a rig. I have a spy wandering round the other continent to scope out the best invasion point. It's going to be a while though.

Unfortunately, due to an inordinate amount of coursework, I won't get it done by wednesday. If I wasn't working on wed night, I could blitz it in a mega session, but I sfinish Uni at about 4ish, and start work at 8, and finish at 3:30am. So congrats Zig, but I shall finish the game at some point to see how I fared

Heh, well if that's how it is, I don't want a banner of victory. It would just look like I set something up tailormade to, um, suit me. So let's get March going and forget about this particular adventure altogether... [challenge]I'm sure I'll earn another banner soon enough.[/challenge]
