Corporations: I think I like it, I just don't like the idea of being able to just magically get uranium, oil, or aluminum, I like the randomness of when oil pops and you notice that you don't have it, but your neighbor who hates you has one source right on your border... Other than that, I like it.
Espionage- Great idea, and from the 4 page IGN preview it looks like its implemented pretty well... the only thing I wonder about is does the AI know how to use it too... if they can, its a great addition
Colonies- if you read the IGN preview, in BTS they are adding additional upkeep costs for cities that are not on the same continent as your capital, so it costs more to colonize a terra map for example. So what happens is you can make those cities a colony, which assigns it a new civilization and leader, and makes it your vassal (on friendly relations). Sounds like a bad idea to me, I didn't mind Vassal states in Warlords, but it just had too many irritating loopholes for me, so I'll probably turn this off
Apostolic Palace- as long as you can't win diplomatically easily its a good idea. There was an interview with Alex and he said that it is theoretically possible to do it, but it's never been done, so that's a good sign.
Random Events- most likely turning that off (after I play a few games w/ it to make sure). I just hate winning a game (not just civ, any sort of game) and feeling like it was luck that won it and not something I did... Popping resources is bad enough, this takes it too far IMO, but I'll wait and see.
The oceanic trade routes seem interesting.
Slavery now medium upkeep? And chance of a slave revolt? Hm
AND YES! Siege cannot kill while attacking!
You cannot trade a tech away that you haven't researched yourself? Ehhh... we'll see about this one.
I reserve overall judgment until I've seen more.

I'm not holding my breath as far as this "Greatly enhanced AI" goes. If everything that Firaxis has said about their newest AIs had been true throughout the Civ series, then the computer opponents would have achieved self-awareness in Warlords, and the BTS AI would probably have found the cure for cancer and alien intelligence by this point.
Now, granted, I'm sure there will be improvements, and there's plenty that could be improved about the AI, such as its mind-numbing addiction to space races and total inability to conduct espionage or aggressive air campaigns. But I'm sure that there will still be just as many exploits with this new AI as with the old one, that the AI will be able to support a million lackluster colony cities and still field a supermodern army at all times, and that any civ with so much as an ironclad will be totally safe from computer attacks on an islands map. And I get the feeling that solitary AI paratroopers will soon be finding themselves miles behind enemy lines with no reinforcements whatsoever.
