. . . Red: pros - coastal city means more commerce, we have a trade route built in so no immediate need for a road. cons - it doesn't connect with the copper and that city will never work the copper. This may mess up city placement later if we do want to work it (though that remains to be seen). Yellow: pros - we get copper and gems in our city square which we get to mine, the fresh water will give an added health bonus when our city is grown a bit. Lot's of farming/cottage building possibilities. cons - it will need a road built to connect to capital, we already have iron so the copper's value is significantly less and the potential for immediate commerce is low (though it would seem long term it could be better as cottages grow to towns while sea tiles don't grow commerce without a wonder or something).
