I HAVE CONQUERED!!!!
Domination victory, some 2100 points. Very meager score, I was only rated "clever" on this one, but a win's a win. After opening the save, just click the end turn button, allow the city builds to cycle through, and the win confirmation should come up.
Really, the key to this game was artillery. I had a hard time taking ground with just cavalry, but once infantry and artillery were on the table, I laid out the Iroquois fairly quickly. Then I researched tanks, and took out the Americans and Celts. Then I switched a lot of cities to spam settlers to fill in the open space on the continent (I reached Ugarit 2. I normally never have enough cities to have a 2 stuck at the end).
Fun game. I wasn't sure I was going to make it.

Emulator of Otto von Bismarck, Master of realpolitik, May he rest in peace.
But the liberals should be careful of screaming too loud ... of conspiring too well ... of undermining us too thoroughly. Because if they succeed, if they do get what they insist they want, then the result may well be something they never conceived ... "They have made a desolation, and they call it peace." ~Tacitus~ ... but a peace controlled by our former enemies.
