Yes, that is looking to be a thorny issue.  By now the Iroquois have eliminated the Babs, and I've just declared war on them (and gotten the Celts and Americans in to help).  I've managed to take two cities, but I'm waiting for the wave of victorious Iroquois knights to hit me before I move forward.  I don't want to be caught off guard here.

I hadnt played civIII enough lately to remember that the iroquois are ones to hit early.  Their 38 or so sized cities were what eventually made it impossible to take them on head to head.

Well, they were also blessed with a wonderful starting location, especially compared to ours.  Had I the terrain that they are making such poor usage of, the game would prolly be over by now.

I HAVE CONQUERED!!!!

Domination victory, some 2100 points. Very meager score, I was only rated "clever" on this one, but a win's a win. After opening the save, just click the end turn button, allow the city builds to cycle through, and the win confirmation should come up.

Really, the key to this game was artillery. I had a hard time taking ground with just cavalry, but once infantry and artillery were on the table, I laid out the Iroquois fairly quickly. Then I researched tanks, and took out the Americans and Celts. Then I switched a lot of cities to spam settlers to fill in the open space on the continent (I reached Ugarit 2. I normally never have enough cities to have a 2 stuck at the end).

Fun game. I wasn't sure I was going to make it.

I realize its too late and I dont think I have the saves anyways but....

I suffered a cultural defeat in this game but I finished with a score of 3281...  would that have been a valid submission?
