Silly me, just a quick clarification -- Ironworks gives the production bonus of +50%/+50% if your CIV has Iron/Coal, not if that CITY has Iron/Coal, yes?

The city has to have access to iron/ coal, but the stuff doesn't need to be in the city radius (as in civ3). Is that what you mean?

Leo   I can't tell you how touched I am that ya remember me, small potatoes that I am.

I've been well.  Life moving on and all.  The missus cranked out child #3 in July 2006, hence my absence (and reinforcing my nick yet even more).

Moved back to a city in which we used to live, which we missed terribly.  Very happy ... although we lacked the foresight to realize the real estate market was about to bottom out with the subprime mortgages drying up ... so, in short, we've owned two houses for the past 7 months, albeit involuntarily.

Anyone want to buy a house in Bowie, Maryland?

Anyway, started playin again recently, having forgotten that there are a handful of premade mods in the vanilla CIVIV (haven't yet purchased the exp), so wandered back to the boards Good to be back.

Currently playing the greeks in the ice age, just entered the modern age (figured out the Ironworks issue for myself, but thanks just the same!).  Doing pretty well -- about 1000 points ahead of a whole mess of people crawling over each other vying for 2nd place.

As an aside, this is the first time that I managed to play that I'm not having *everyone* pissed off with me.  Both Victoria and Frederick, my closest neighbors yet, are Friendly to me.  Staunch allies.  Go figure.
