Quick update for those who might be 1/2 interested. 28 years later and Thebes is up to producing 3027 gold per turn by itself. I spread corporations like crazy plus have taken some cities I spread religion to. I'm in a war and have taken several cities that are draining the gold heavily after taking them (thus only 1348 per turn profit with 100% science). Thought I'd share.

And again, if anyone is interested. I won a domination victory in 1892 and had a score of 56222 (my highest ever). 100% science setting and Thebes was generating me 4158 gold per turn. I spread religion and corporations like mad.
