ADDIT What I really want to know though is when I upload BtS to my computer, will it not allow me to play any m ore Warlord games? I I think it'll run fine LC. Warlords will run as a separate application. I did have problems, but it was not really from installing BTS, it was from corrupted files, or something like that. I consequently just uninstalled Warlords altogether. The cool thing about having them both on there is that the map files should more or less work b/w the two apps, though there could be some problems with the mods. If Sword doesn't speak up, I'm in. I'd love to pair up with ComedyDave. Re game settings. I think climate should just be temperate, not random. I'm not sure we' want the map to be random, though I think random civs is good. Totally random map includes things like Ice Age, Oasis, Highlands, Inland Sea. If we want some degree of randomnicity, I think Shuffle might be best option (random generates either Pangeaa, Archipelago, Continents, or Fractal). I'll play with whatever, but my personal preference would be a Terra map. Hopefully this match will go on for years, and be fascinating for that whole time, and if there is a New World for us to compete in colonizing it will DEFINITELY make the late Rennaissance through Space Age far more interesting. Any map except Terra means that MOST of the land mass will be discovered if not settled by one of us before Mid Ages. This to me is not as fun for the later game. With a Terra map we all know there is another Hemisphere out there to be discovered, so being an 'explorative' civ is one strategic option. Other ideas: Standard size is probably fine, but I kind of don't like the idea of no AI. One interesting possibility would be to have it be large Terra, but put Barbs on Raging. A large map with only four humans, and raging barbs would keep us all busy fighting off barbs and give them plenty of room to develop Barb cities, while minimizing early human-vs-AI exploits. Everything else default is fine IMO. If this is not really what you had in mind LC, no problem. Of course I'll back off and let you play your game the way you like

tones (9/1/2009) I was minded to compare this site to a sort-of-private Facebook, but, on reflection, that's not right . . . Nope. Here is a forum to exchange views and discuss topics and maybe have some literary fun; post some interesting pics (not Megabits of family krap); flag up some internet sites of Interest; pass on the occasional joke. To me, (struggling for analogy here) it's bit more like a quiet and cosy pub with locals you know and the occasional visitor from "outside"; thick stone walls and a cellar full of well-kept ale. Facebook, on the other hand, is some awful massive city-centre club that serves Fosters lager. And, you know what? I am not unhappy with that analogy. I prefer the pub.
