Running C3 Complete v1.22 (2K version)

On completion of the actual game, it displays the Leaders screen, the Summary replay screen, the Top 5 cities screen, and the Victory status screen. I then pauses briefly and displays the Microsoft error message (in the standard blue box):-

 

Civ3Complete has encountered a problem and needs to

close. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

...

(at the bottom of the blue box the two buttons)

Send error report.    &     Don't send.

Also, it there is no record in the Hall Of Fame of the winning game.

Why ??

Exact same thing as just happened to me! I completed Age of Discovery as Mayans, and it wouldn't count it.

On the last turn, that is!

Found the solution in another thread.

Go into the Firaxis Games/Civilization III Complete/Conquests folder and look for the file campaignrecord.hof. Check to see if it is marked as a read only - mine was. Uncheck read only and then reload your save game, finish and you will not get the victory game crash and you will see you score in the hall of fame.
