Going ok, but I'm about 4th-5th in the pecking order. Don't think I'll win, but it's been interesting so far. Hopefully I'll be done before the deadline...

I finally got to finish one GOTM even had begun a lot of them months ago, by several problems including time. Some screens.

AHHHGGGHGHHHHH... 20 or so turns away from victory and had a cultural victory nabbed by another civ. Tough game though. I was fbeating the other civs and kicking some butt at the end but couldnt get the victory in time.

A nice score, Carlucas. A couple/few turns earlier and you probably would have beaten my score. Rough finish, rgndvo. I've had to attack civs in a few other games because of that looming cultural victory. Feels hollow to lose that way.

Not gonna make the deadline. Stayed up really late last night to try and finish, but still over 150 turns left of the game... I'm #2 in the pecking order now, but my confidence was kinda shattered when I saw that Hannibal (#1) has more than 3x the military power than me! He owns the other land and is not one to be trifled with. I think I needed to be a bit more aggressive early on, but Boudica was a real pain in the butt and kept me stuck in a war of attrition against her until I got ahead of her in tech and trounced her with Macemen. At least I got Judaism and spread it to all nations on my land, that was a real money boost! Not being able to trade techs was weird - but I'm only about 4-5 techs behind the leaders, and I haven't been able to exploit spies to their full potential either. I think I'll get outpaced and end up with a space race loss, even though I'm on a mission to conquer my land now. Hannibal is too powerful and may even be able to swing a diplo victory.
