I thought I would post a thread for any interesting quests that pop up during the game. If you come across one, take a screen shot and let us know what the bonus is if you complete the quest. If your quest ends up being a failure, post it here and perhaps someone will know what the bonus is from one of their previous games... --- I was test playing the upcoming March GOTM when this quest pops up: Sounds interesting, especially on a large map... Unfortunately, about 40 turns later, I was advised that I had failed the quest, so the peak must have been right next to a rival.. Has anyone completed this one, and if so, what's the bonus you get for completing it?

Great idea for a thread. I had that Holy Mountain one in a previous life. Seems like I finished it and all religious structures gave +1 commerce.
-- tones (9/1/2009) I was minded to compare this site to a sort-of-private Facebook, but, on reflection, that's not right . . . Nope. Here is a forum to exchange views and discuss topics and maybe have some literary fun; post some interesting pics (not Megabits of family krap); flag up some internet sites of Interest; pass on the occasional joke. To me, (struggling for analogy here) it's bit more like a quiet and cosy pub with locals you know and the occasional visitor from "outside"; thick stone walls and a cellar full of well-kept ale. Facebook, on the other hand, is some awful massive city-centre club that serves Fosters lager. And, you know what? I am not unhappy with that analogy. I prefer the pub.

Good idea! Don't have a screenshot of it but I had the Crusade one. Our war against (nation) continues...yadda yadda...our holy leaders have declared this to be a Crusade and wish you to take the Holy City of...wherever it is... If you take the city before the war ends, they give you a choice of the Holy Building for that religion, a number of defensive units of the highest kind you can make in that city, or a number of cities having that religion spread to it.

There is one which requires you to build a certain number of stables. If you finish it, all your stables start generating +1 food! As far as I remember there were some other reward options, probably bonus XP to mounted units.

There are 2 automatic quests that I know of, that have no requirments, you just get the bonus Compasate Bows - Archer Units start with combat 1 Tower Sheilds - All mele units start with cover(25% vs archers) The holy mountain seems like a lot of work, for little pay off, I find most of the quests requirements are higher then the rewards For example if your military says we need this source of copper or iron that is in enemy territory, gives you 4 axemen or swordmen(with no upgrades) Lame reward IMO. The ones when you have to build 6 units or improvments by a time/date are the better rewards, ussually with a Golden Age as the best reward.
