The stables quest...one of the other rewards for it is X number of the most advanced cavalry type you can make with X being the number of stables you had to build.  I believe Konrad is right, the third reward is bonus xp for stables.

Build a sizable force of chariots

Requirements:

Must build 7 chariots

Must be completed before Classical Age

Must have a nearby source of horses

Additional reward option is available if you civilization has a state religion if/when you complete the quest.

Rewards:

1. All chariot units recieve Combat I promotion (this includes the ones that you build even long after the quest has been completed)

2. Spread your state religion to 5 cities under your control

This quest is easy to complete. Just slave rush the chariots & you will have it done in a matter of 3-4 turns. I always choose the #1 option. That combat I promotion is useful if you are an early warmonger. You can quickly fold up a civ or 2 with your chariots getting an automatic Combat I & 3xp points from a barracks right out of the gates. Option 2 seems like cool too but I never have more than 2-3 cities or a state religion when I complete this quest.

Random event rather than a quest, but probably appropriate for this thread.

This is a nice one. Have to have monarchy as your governement civic. I was at war for some time at this point, so do not know if that has anything to do with it. I chose the free military instructor option.

These are in the category of miscelanious. They arent that particular great to do game breaking, but still worth a mention.

As it states, you gotta build wall in all your cities for this event to trigger.

This one happens on plains tiles, as  far as I have seen. You gotta have a few forrests around the tile too. I do not know if it has to be several forrests, or just 1 adjacent will do enough. River is unnecessary. Yes and you can see Ima winning the war with my longbowmen from hell

This is the Castles quest. You have to build X number of castles to complete it before researching Gunpowder or Printing Press I think. I forgot to take the initia screen when the quest is quested bcz I was at war. There was no time to think when you are slugging it out with a human, but for whatever its worth here's when I completed it.

This option is worthless against human opponents.

This is what I chose. Very nice & could be a breaker when pushing into enemy territory.

This one is nice too, but I didnt have the Wall to attach those spy points on

This is the effect on one of my Macemen.

These are also from the same game.

All you need for this event to trigger is to have a library in the city. Nice if it happens early in the game, but later on... blah.

This is one of the annoying ones. They always happen at the worst times.
