Np, I'll make sure I get some screen shots posted up tomorrow morning or afternoon.

EDIT: If you read this, going to wait a couple turns for those screens, Omega now has combustion and juding by their treasury drop this turn, they've begun upgrading their ships

Pretty much all the statistical mumbo-jumbo included in the screenshots.  Quick note on the SOL situation, Palpa is pumping out 1 per 1-2 turns so we can bring the fleet up to par in a short period of time.  I've also reduced the slider back down to 50% increasing our gpt to around 210+ which will allow us to then upgrade our booming and increasing fleet after we acquire combustion.  All in-land production is currently commited towards Machine Gunners.  If luck will have it,  we may be able to turn the tables on the ocean theater.

Looks like things have been going ok since I've been away ...apart from Omega getting to combustion!

Railroads will work wonders for our strategic defence. And now we're pumping out Machine Guns we can shove a load into our favourite coastal cities and we're immune to the dreaded amphibious seige!!! Nice. Looking at the state of things though, I sense tanks over the horizon... ouch!

And yeah I'm not surprised we're fairly level pegging on total number of troops. Only, as I was saying in another thread we are seriously limited by our lack of core cities with access to the coast so our navy has been playing second best throughout. And so their ability to hit us with said 'amphibious seige' with no warning, effectively negating the amphibious penalty, has been a real b*****d!

The difference in population and commerce is a real nasty one though! That's where we could do with Japanese + Viking lands! I guess angering Ragnar until he denounces us so we can 'whack' him is off the cards?

I wouldn't advise it in the present, at least not until the ocean front is deemed slightly more secure as to allow us to ease off the defensive unit production and focus on getting some offensive going. However, on another more darker note, it looks like the Omegans have just acquired Physics, any guesses on where they're going with that? /dread

Thanks for going to the trouble of posting the screen shots. I'm afraid I can't offer anything at the time you guys are not already doing.
Other than press on. I'll do my best to keep them suspicious in the "Trash Talk" thread. It seems they pick up on anything, and everything, so seeming to slip has them swallowing disinformation.

A peaceful and enlightened study of the natural world? No??

...oh!!

An admirable contribution. They'll buy anything we sell them!!!

Has the game stopped?  Or gone underground from me view?

Nothing but naval skirmishes thus far. However, I've went ahead and took these screen shots for your viewing pleasure after reading this post. Let me know if there's anything specific you want me to capture in the game.

As far as discussion goes, I believe it's time to mount an offensive towards the currently Omegan controlled Treasure Island. I believe the Vikings territory would be the ideal place for the launch pad, only question in my mind is whether they're cities are visible to the Omegans as well.

Thank you.  I'm still seeing signs that tell me that their focus on Naval is pretty consuming.  I am playing CivIV now and patching as I find them.  I'm near ready to go on-line and get more involved.

I think their mistake here is their focus on harrassing us with some degree of success.  But wouldn't it make more sense for them to attack the Japanese?  Or even the Vikings?  Thereby gaining gaining strategic footholds?  If they could they would I believe.  I don't think they are at all capable of sustained land incursions.  Which may hint at the fact that they cannot defend much past the units they already have.  I'm sure we'd suffer a counter attack at Treasure Island.  But not a sustainable one.  With an armada of offensive ships, followed very closely (but not with the armada), by a few boat loads of offensive (and defensive) land units, we could capture AND HOLD,  the island.  When we arrive at bombers, what fun we will have.

Of course, this is all based on the supposition that they do not have the where with all to replace land units quickly enough.  I do believe the more time we give them the less chance we have.  It sure would be a blow to their confidense level and bloated ego's.  I like the suggestion and the strategic, and tactical value behind it.  If you think were ready for a massed landing there, and we are strong at home,  I say loose the dogs!

They have become weak and lazy by denying them GREEN meat.
