Welp, our worst fears have indeed been confirmed. I didn't even notice it at first until I began going through the cities, Princep has suffered the first series of what I expect to be prolonged nuclear attacks that could very likely slowly but surely subdue us into submission.

On that note, any plans?

In other news regarding this turn, we sunk the heathen harlot mothered sailors off the coast of Biztown and Viking territory without losses.

Why thse dirty dogs.  I say retaliate.  Throw everything we have at them.  If their Nuking cities anyway, leave one unit in each city.  Load the rest on boats and move to Omega Land by force.  Atleast go out with a fight!  Not sit around waiting for the inevitable.  Who knows, we might just force them to flee and leave those pretty rockets in our hands.  Can we get the Japanese and Vikings in on this since Omegans have certainly shown they are most willing to nuke?

Going to follow your advice BO and we've begun work on transports in Palpa, let's just hope they're unable to determine what is going on. Apparently, we can expect more strikes in this 5-10 turn period.

No kidding?  You are?  I mean, of course you are.

I guess they'll know somethings up.  But instinct tells me this, would be the last thing they would expect.  I'm sure in their minds we are as good as finished.  And I suppose we are.  Unless we,(you) can pull off the greatest surprise attack since Pearl.  (Okay, maybe not so dramatic and history making)  But your name will be engraved in a golden wall!  (Well....,a rather large stone then).

*raises staff, falls down*

*get's up, raises staff again*

"Blessed are the, UNITS?, of Alpha!!!!  They make quick and mighty haste to certain doo.........., VICTORY!!!  GLORY TO ALPHA!!!!  The Omegan people shall worship the ground we stride upon, for their liberation!!!!!!  Or we'll burn 'em out!  SO LET IT BE WRITTEN...., SO LET IT BE DONE!!!!!"

(phew, I gotta lay off the hard stuff.)

ADDIT:  A thought occurs, (OUCH!).  Mr. President, if Omega can see Palpa, and that we are only creating transports there.  Wouldn't that make Palpa an instant nuke target?  But I guess our options are limited as is.  I'm thrilled we have transports!  YEAH!  I'm going to "Trash Talk" to act utterly defeated.  This is gonna suck.  Diregard all comments I make there.  I gotta be convincing.

Question.  Why do I see the Omegan Teams signiture banner flashing "Game OVER"?  Is it just wishful thinking?  Or am I so far out of the loop?

This is my 1st team like game like this. It is disheartening to spend a couple weeks or more finishing a game we are getting steamrolled in.

How long do we keep playing this?

This new approach is a "do or die..."  Nuclear.  Either way, the way turns are flying, the end is indeed nigh. Unless we really do kick butt.  Then their end will be drawn out and painful.

It's a shame that this game is going to be decided by their early naval superiority. It's even more of a shame that were just going to end up being bombed into submission with our economy unable to deal with the resulting fallouts. However, in the end and in my mind, they're just lucky this map wasn't constructed under Pangaea like settings because I'm positive it would've been completely different. Oh well, I'm looking forward to the next game for sure.

In regards to this game though, they've just blew one of our transports and 2/3 of its escort destroyers out of the water with their bombing of Palpa and following with destroyers into our coast. We have airships ready to be built and have switched to Emancipation so we can almost surely push them back. Not sure we can last out and organize an invasion force under these damn bombings though.

A war of attrition.  Once an opponent gains the upper hand, there really isn't much you can do.  Other than a "Hail Mary".  Meaning aggressive counter measures, regardless of percentage of success.  Thus my constant harping on "taking it to 'em".

Pangea may have had a more interesting outcome.  Units battling along fronts, naval engagements, etc.  Omega knew from the beginning, I think, that  land locking an opponent was a vital component in a quick victory.  I never attack a continent or island without first installing naval blockades.  Their greatest weakness was that single mindedness.  But since they had us in the defensive early on we couldn't capitalize on that.  A very effective strategy, no doubt.  The SPY was really the end of any offensive flanking to regain momentum.

If we could have gained and held a foothold on their mainland, what fun this would have been!  I'm not ready to admit defeat.  Sure would like to go out fighting.  But loosing those units in Palpa proves we really can't mount a successful invasion.  We'd have to "poke their eyes out".  Other than that, we're just piss'n in the wind.

The "Presidents of Alpha" played through this with honor, and dignity.  In that Omega was soundly defeated.
