Roadkill (10/11/2008)
Scipio Africanus (10/11/2008)
Frog, I don't really care to argue about the strategic expediency of a pre-emptive... (snip)

-That's a very stupid argument.

On the contrary, yours was the very stupid statement. But then it is no surprise coming from you, oh wisest of Nords.

All very good points Frog, and I like to think that non-violent means can and will prove to be the solution. But I also hope that whoever is in control of the Free World will keep the option to use force on the table if only as a deterrent.

Nuclear non-proliferation is not hypocritical. The U.S. has decommissioned thousands of nuclear devices. In an ideal world, there would be no nukes. We don't need to swing from a pacifist to a vindictive polarity simply because the reality is that very likely a few nuclear club nations will likely maintain nuclear arsenals for the foreseeable future.

Here you go Roadkill.

“There are millions of people around this world praying to their god—whether it’s Hindu, Buddha, Allah—that his opponent wins, for a variety of reasons. And Lord, I pray that you will guard your own reputation, because they’re going to think that their God is bigger than you, if that happens,” said Arnold Conrad, the former pastor of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Davenport.

Locus Coeruleus (10/11/2008)
Dear Scipio,

I have already asked you once, and I will kindly ask you again. Please come down off your high horse and read this thread (Iran Proposal) before you comment any further on Froggers opinions about Iran. From your silly comments, it is clear that you have not read his proposal. No one here except you is talking about appeasement.

I read it, but until this morning did not feel the need to post. Can I be excused from being accused of riding the High Horse now? After all, that particular pony is all yours isn't it Locus?
