| | May as well. Since it already smells like a den of iniquity in here. Jeeves open the windows and be quick about. I had to use a Temp Service you understand. Good man. Just a little slow on the draw. Lets see. What would I change? *taps finger on mantle* It's not that I can't think of anything. It's the amount of things I would change, and the priority. Give me a sec. Just one thing, huh? Then having only that choice, I'd put the genie back in it's bottle and bury it in some desert. It's the Nuclear genie I speak of. The single greatest threat to life on this rock, apart from (undecided) Global Warming, Asteroids, Comets, and Micheal Jackson. What pisses me off? Just about everything anymore! No, seriously, it is arrogant stupidity. You know the type. So self assured and righteous, that they can't be bothered to stop and look in the mirror. The guy who believes he owns the road. The woman at the check out stand that dumps canned goods on top of your Oreo cookies in the bag. The jerk at the "Super" auto service center who tells your wife she needs cooling system repairs, and it will cost $1800, when in fact it's nothing more than a $10 thermostat. The clown who thought putting Lottery sales in a convenience store was a brilliant idea. The waitress who writes down your order and STILL gets it wrong. THE MORON THAT INVENTED THE WHEEL!! I'd love to take a whack at that ape! I guess thats about it. |

| Mr. Owl, I just searched for a thread I started a few years ago (have I been on here THAT long? I need to get a life. ) I had a thread that was called "Rant on Respect" or something similar, in the old Soapbox area that is no more. I guess that thread is long gone, but your posting reminded me of why I started that thread and contained similar stuff. Respect (or lack there-of) for fellow man.
I guess I can answer my own hypothetical questions. 1) If mankind would follow the golden rule (not the "whoever has the gold makes the rules" one), it would be as close to heaven on Earth as possible. It seems so simple, really.
2) Pet peeves. A lot involve people's driving skills and habits. |
