I tend to take them immediately as my theory is that, like interest in the bank, early gains accumulate to greater things over time.

Do other players take the same approach? I'm interested to know any good reasons to hold off on the triggering of a golden age.

Also, do you think it's better to store up your great people to have multiple golden ages? I have done that up to the 4th golden age but I'm concerned the advantage is not as great as the reward gained from using the great people individually.

What are people's opinions on this?

I am fond of the Great Pyramids, so assuming I have those and am in the civic of Representation, I almost always add Great Leaders to my capital for the extra science, money, etc. The more, the merrier.

If its late in the game and will be over soon, I might spend 1 on a golden age.

I dont use my GP on GA's either.

Representation with a philosophical leader will smoke just about any others in tech race if you add your GP to cities.

I use to have much GAs.

But I have some strategies to make them in the better way.

building Mausoleum of mausolos, pathernon helps, using pacifism as religious civic.

You must keep in mind to take the better the GA can give to you, never using it as soon as possible.

I use to proggram the GA to change oportunit many civics, or in peace times to build many vital constructions like banks and universities.

in GA you can change your religious civics to pacifism to take advantage of a 200% of GPs rate in cities with your state religion, or let it on the OR civic to build faster... or use it more creatively...

I like GAs

I usually use the Masouleum as well to extend out the Golden Ages, however your point makes me think of another question..

Is it worth holding off on changing civics until you can invoke a GA to ensure an anarchy-free transition?

Isn't there as much to be lost per turn on holding off on the civic change?

That is a good point. It could be worth waiting to switch civics until you trigger a Golden Age (no anarchy for switching during the Golden Age), especially if you're changing 3 or 4 civics.
