hmmm, in the main install folder, there is an .ini file, can't remember what it's named, but... if you add keepres=1 into in it should work... will search for correct answer... and edit addit: ok, dug up an old post... only error would be conquests.ini.... just add to the bottom of the file with a text editor like notepad, don't use a word processor as it will add "bad" codes to each line. | |

| You can set the resolution - ingame.
It's the ini file that Felix mentioned. For vanilla, it is civ3.ini. For PTW, it is civ3.ini or civ3ptw.ini in the PTW folder. For conquests, it's in the Conquests folder and, IIRC, is civ3conquests.ini
In that file, you can set the following:
KeepRes = 1 (to use the same resolution as your desktop);
Videomode = 1020 (to set resolution to the 1020 x 780? mode) Others include 640 (default), 1280 and others. For more info, you might want to check the readme file in the appropriate civ folder.
Also, for older monitors that only support 60Hz freq, you can use: Refresh = 60 |
