You could make a mod, but if you don't want to go though all the trouble you could do this: Go to : Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meiers's Civilization\Assets\XML\Civilizations (Note: If you have any expansions installed you have to go into that folder instead. ie Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meiers's Civilization\Beyond the Sword\Assets\XML\Civilizations Now make a copy of "CIV4CivilizationInfos.xml". Right click on the original, Open With, Notepad. Find the civilization you want to play and the go to the "<DefaultPlayerColor>" line. You can change it to one of the other colors that are allowed. Then save it and start your game. If you have any problems or want to go back, you can just delete the file and replace it with the copy you made.

"In our November issue we mistakenly labeled World in Conflict as ESRB rated M instead of T. Because apparently, it's ok to detonate a nuclear device in a major American city, as long as you don't see the blood of the countless innocent people you've killed until you turn 17." PC Gamer #169 Need help with your civ addiction (or just a good laugh). Go to civanon for help. "You won't stop playing until you WANT to stop playing."
