I purchased Civ 3 gold edition When I try to install, I am asked for Disk 2 There is no Disk 2

Hi jtpaul, and welcome I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to your problem, but I do recall something regarding mislabelled discs or different regions being brought up in the past. Does the version you have definitely only come with one disc? Maybe one of the other members here can assist further. Cheers

I'm pretty sure that Civ3 gold was two cds... One was the patched to 1.29f??? original "vanilla", and one was the PTW patched to whatever it made it to when they stopped patching 1.22f?? to create Conquests. If both are required to install a working game, you will probably have to see your retailer, or the distributer... Most would say you can skip PTW, and must have Conquests... But you must have Civ3 installed to install conquests, so there lies your problem. Once you play with Conquests, with all it's patches 1.27f??? there is very little reason to ever load PTW, or "vanilla"
