Barring any unforeseen anomalies (such as my mother taking the internet down again...just because I live at home doesn't mean I don't except some quality of service from the landlords!...err nevermind), I will be able to play a pbem with anyone willing to stick it out.

I don't have many preferences, just keep it small, perhaps 2-4 human plays plus some AI. It can be either allied or free-for-all, doesn't matter to me. My specs are such that I have to keep the graphics to about medium, just fyi. HOWEVER, I do only own warlords patched to 2.whatever, so that's what I can play.

I'll play although I don't think I have played the actual Warlords mod by itself! I have the complete version of Warlords...dont know what number that is. I'd prefer a free for all.

Fine, fine, do you want to wait for 1 or 2 more people or just start one up? And that's what I meant, I don't have the Beyond the Sword expansion, I only have the Warlords expansion patched to whatever it's supposed to be patched to. If you have BTS then I would assume your patch is fine.

Should we do something to mix it up, like accelerated production or starting units (if you can even do that with Warlords)?

Actually, a good choice would be to start in an advanced age, like classical, medieval, or industrial.

In fact, we could just use the online game function and just log in and play whenever using pitboss. We could password protect the game and then just play our turn when we get around to it, or play simultaneously if we're both online. That is, if I understand how this works...

edit-maybe I'm getting ahead of myself here...

I am not really fussed how we do it! I've never managed to have a PBEM game yet so I am just eager to play against someone who is not AI! We can wait another day or so and if no one else is interested we can kick on and get something sorted out!

Ok, I'll start something when I get home for the two of us. It'll probably be random civs and map with 2 or 3 AI on a standards or smaller map. I do want to try starting in a later era as you get a couple settlers and things start happening a bit quicker.
