Sao Paolo State ain't ready for me either.
1. 2008 was terrible. It has to be better or we're all in trouble.
2. 2009 is the last time any of us will see a single-digit-last-two year in our lifetimes. Unless one of us lives to see 2100. I don't plan to be 123 years old myself.
3. 9 is a good number. it is 3x3. 3 is a holy and lucky number. Three 3's is even better. Huzzah 2009!!

With the early horses, I just went straight for Horseback Riding, I built 2 Chariots and then spammed Horse Archers. I sent them about the map and simply just denied metals and horses to the enemies (and other resources too), while I built up my empire and army to finally conquer them. I didn't even use the free settler, to avoid the maintenance cost and be able to have a larger army early on without losing research power, since their research stack up. I just wanted to get the gang bang on me over quickly.
