That's how much I saw it for today at Target. Is it worth it to pick it up and play a little game of "Will. It. Run?"....?

If CivIV fully patched runs enjoyably... then BTS should too... Nothing really added that takes much more power... It was quite tolerable to me on the old P4 HyperThreaded 3ghz, with a ATI 850X(?)... Card, and two gigs of ram running XP. Must say the new system blows the doors off it... even with Vista's handicap... Your milage will vary.

If your video card starts choking, like my last PC did... turning the graphic down to 'low' in the game option menu, sped things up a lot for me and didn't look all that less-cool, IMHO.

cIV right now runs at about medium-low graphics, with effects disabled (which really allowed me to see resources). I'm kinda iffy on the whole thing because this is a crappy old laptop I'm using and according to Can You RUN It?, I --well-- shouldn't be able to run it. It's definitely the right price though

Seems a bit expensive to me for what is now an ageing game. However, I daresay they still employ an accountant at Firaxis who looks at the sales curves. If I were them I'd sell it off at $2 with a voucher towards CiV with a promise that it just might be redeemable in the next ten years
