I've been playing Civilization III for quite a long time now. I've stuck to this game even when Civ IV came out (and I have to say I still like Civ III better). So, I give you, the story of Carthage. World size: Huge Barbarians: None Landmass: Continents Climate: Arid Temperature: Temperate Age: 3 billion Civilization: Carthage Difficulty: Warlord Victories: Domination, Conquest, Cultural, Wonder Accelerated Production
The year is 4000 BC. Our people finally settle down, establishing the first permanent settlement, moving on from our Nomadic ways and becoming more permanent. We establish the town of Carthage. We begin to learn new things and already know the art of Pottery and Alphabet. We use these knoledges to build upon our city and improve our country.
We build paths throughout the surrounding forrests, discovering new things. We seem to have settled in a tundra like climate, permafrosted soil to the north and pine forests near our city. We excel in the arts of boat making and are seafaring, so we build near the vast waters on the coast. Food seems to be in fine supply. As the year creeps towards 3500 BC our city grows, and we begin to scout the lands. We are ready to establish a new city, and to the west, on a hill, we have found incense. This shall make our people happy and we decide to go there.
To be continued...

And now we continue the epic saga of Carthage...
The year is 1990 BC. We have made a series of discoveries and achievments recently. We have settle a third city, Leptis Magna, to the south along the great shores. The people of Leptis Magna harvest fish and cattle for food. During our exploration we have discovered a new peoples, calling themselves Scandinavia. We havn't discovered any of their cities, but came across one of their soldiers in the wilderness. In our traveling, our small boat, traversing up the shores, discovers a man, Hiawatha, and his nation calling themselves the Iroquois. We trade with him Technology and learn new trades. We are currently working on the knoledge of philosophy, and if we can discover it soon, we may also master a second knoledge along with it. Hiawatha of the Iroquois
The year is 1870 BC. We have discovered Philosphy, and are the first nation to master this. With the learning of Philosophy, we also master the knoledge of map making. We have also learned of The Wheel from the Iroqouis to the far west. We now have horses brought to our cities and build the Chariot. We start work on the epic wonder, the Colossus, in Carthage. We continue to grow and prosper, and also continue to discover new lands.
