Yet another novelty! You'll play the role of D. João, Leader of Portugal. Your civilization is born in a rich archipelago and gets a Carrack instead of an Warrior. Will you know how to explore this outstanding advantage?

The map was entirely modified by me from a Big and Small map! Deserve it! Difficulty levels are Noble (Iniciante/Starter) and Monarch (Elite).

Configs:

Start Point:

- The saved games should be sent to jdm@civ-brasil.com under the following default: [Your name].CivBeyondSwordSave
- Your game will be accepted until May 30 th.

Cheating rules:
- Simply be honest: Play the game fairly.
- Reloads are not legal. Games in which the reload is found won't be accepted.
- Anyone caught cheating will be banned from the competition.

Cheating includes yet:
1. Using any kind of program that might edit the game or the save itself.
2. Altering the XML or using MODs that might give any advantage.
3. Using trainers or similar programs.

Have Fun!

Just post the file here as a zip, then we can all choose to play, or not, as it suits us Thanks for the opportunity though, and, in return,  please have a try at our current Dgame if you like!

This is a fun set up. If you move your little ship the right way anyway... (heheh, some clever hinting there. )

I'm on vacation right now.  I think I'm in the 1600s so should be able to finish.  Wouldn't call it too difficult, certainly wouldn't call it uninteresting--having too much fun with privateers.

I would have really enjoyed a Marathon or Epic setting game on this game just for the fun I had with privateers.  It was short lived though on normal setting as is all technological advancements.  I know I'm in the minority here, but I like the longer games because of this reason.  Am I babbling?  Why... yes!

This was a fun one with all the island building.  I pushed for the Great Wall so barbarian galleys would stay out of my sea borders, but apparently the wall doesn't affect the sea, which makes sense, but I didn't know the game did that.

I was drastically ahead on tech for most of the game, but they caught up a bit closer to me near the end.
