cive 3 gold edition loaded fine on my vista upgrade but when i start the game the screen goes blank, you can here the music playing so i know the game is running but i cant figure out why the screen is blank. any ideas?

hmmm, try setting (if possible) your desktop resolution to: 1024x768 prior to running the game just to see what happens. I have some other thoughts, but, that screen was always a problem... addit: failing above: I never had Civ3 gold, Never tried to run Civ3 with Vista so I'm working blind... But I would think the .ini file fixes that worked for XP would help here too. But it might be a direct-X issue. If so an install of Direct-X 9c, will break whatever version is current... so you might have to reinstall it to run something newer...

thanks, that didnt work but what did work was changing the scaling from the monitor to the graphics card.
